Documentation of similar items[edit]

When I first got in this article through a chat link, it was using the id 37716 that ingame shows a rare (yellow) Magi's Ring, a different from the one documented here. Then I changed it to the one pointed by the search: 39154. This ID points correctly to a exotic one ingame.

However, I have faced an issue. I had two exotics Magi's Ring of Luck, one with a Silver Doubloon and other with a Platinum Doubloon as upgrade. Their stats are the same as Magi's Ring, the only difference is the upgrade. If I'm not wrong I acquired them from a vendor at Orr but I can't recall where and if it was really from there. But I assume it was from a vendor as they are Soulbound on Use and unsalvageable.

The problem is: the one with Platinum Doubloon has the code [&AgHymABAxWAAAA==] and the one with Silver Doubloon has the code [&AgHymABAtl8AAA==], but both are converted to the same ID by the search: 39154. Also, the code generated by the article ([&AgHymAAA]) when using 39154 as ID converts it to a link for a exotic version without an upgrade, that correctly match with the one in this article.

The question is: what about the versions with an upgrade? Should they be documented and if so, how would it be? Since both generates the same ID, would it be good to mention about the upgrades in this article? (I have done that but it's commented in the code, waiting for opinions) --Txon Atana - (talk) 01:11, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

I've updated the article to use templates that can be used to document all the appropriate versions. Assuming they're working correctly, searching via chat link should work as well. Psycho Robot (talk) 01:22, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
Oh cool. Thanks.--Txon Atana - (talk) 02:12, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
