Talk:Generosity's Reward

Do we really want to list the contents so specifically? We're going to end up with a very long page if we list every material, salvageable item and piece of junk in the game (because that's quite likely what the reward can possibly give). --Wingsy (talk) 20:38, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

Look at Gift from Mawdrey II for an emphatic "Why not?" Azure Fang (talk) 02:36, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
Just because it's done on that page does not mean it should be - such a large list serves very little defensible value beyond exercising the scroll wheel of your mouse. Conciseness on the main page is a better tool for technical documentation and whilst there might be value in a sub-page (containing what will undoubtedly prove itself to be a list of nearly every obtainable item in the game outside of legendary and ascended items - not including materials), a massive sprawling list that is a pain to the eyes and largely skipped over is ineffective documentation. That's my opinion anyway. I don't honestly expect either page to change, and if they don't that's okay. --Wingsy (talk) 03:57, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
We need to find a better template/format/table/w.e to use for massive lists like this and Gift from Mawdrey II, Champion loot bags, Wintersday Gifts, Trick-or-Treat Bags, etc. I don't think splitting the contents section into its own sub-article (like Skritt Burglar/locations for example) would work with Template:Contains and Template:Contained in, which are both important templates. -Somohexual (talk) 17:41, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
Ah, I forgot about those templates. Perhaps some sort of summary line indicating the general returns from the reward or container in question (for example on this page the reward gives 1 masterwork or higher equipment, 1 piece of junk and 1 random other item), followed by a collapsible box with what that other random item can be? I don't think we need to list all the junk items and exotic weapons - "1 Random piece of equipment of your character's level with Masterwork rarity or above" and "1-4 random trophies of Junk rarity" is quite self explanatory. --Wingsy (talk) 18:00, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
At the very least it's important to list items found exclusively in these containers, such as Malodorous Mass, so we have at least one source listed on their respective page. Tyndel (talk) 18:21, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

Exotic Reward?[edit]

It can also drop Wayfinder and Teardrawer. Probably all norn weapons should be included in the list.

It can drop literally anything, so it's not just norn weapon-exclusive. —Ventriloquist 20:08, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
