Guild Wars 2 Wiki:Requests for API editorship

The official documentation of the Guild Wars 2 game API is within the API namespace of this wiki. Because of the high relevance of the correctness of this information for third-party application developers, the namespace is locked by default. API editors are users that are granted access to edit articles within the API namespace. This page is to request editing access to the namespace for yourself.

To request editing access, make sure you have registered an account on this wiki and are logged in. Then add the following to the top of the list below, replacing the indicated parts:

; {{user|<username>}}
: <Reason you are requesting access> ~~~~

As the namespace is meant for documentation, you should not apply when you are only interested in promoting particular applications (e.g. your own). You can promote your app here and your wrapper here. Furthermore it is more likely to get access if you have previously shown your editing capabilities by contributing to other parts of the wiki.

Requests[edit]

Add new requests at the top of this section. Archived requests can be found here.

I found some missing API documentation, particularly around undocumented fields or enum values, for which I'd like the ability to edit these articles. sliekens (talk) 23:10, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

I am currently working on a service that requires me to write protobuf defintions for the gw2 api, by doing that I stumbled across the missing "Relic" type in the api documentation of the items endpoint. Probably will find more stuff while continuing my work on that project.
