Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity[edit]

In pursuit of the notorious Inquest, the commander sets sail toward the fabled land of Castora—an island infamous in seafaring circles for impassable storms and impossible escapes.

In this treacherous paradise of raw magic, vicious beasts, and warring factions, the commander embarks on a mission to track the cunning asura through twisting caverns and uncharted forests on the way to unraveling the powerful mysteries that drew the Inquest to Castora. With a substantial head start, dangerous new experiments at the ready, and greedy mercenaries at their disposal, the Inquest have the advantage. But the commander isn’t tackling this mission alone—from sly corsairs to smug wizards, gritty castaways to glitchy golems, the commander will need to rely on allies old and new to hunt the Inquest through sun-drenched shoals and starlit jungles to uncover the true nature of Castora’s buried secrets.

Elite Specializations[edit]

Nine new elite specializations are now available with Guild Wars 2®: Visions of Eternity™, offering new ways to explore your favorite professions.

Homesteads[edit]

  • A new homestead plot, Comosus Isle, is available to owners of Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity who have unlocked the Homesteads feature in Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds. Speak with Deft Lahar to preview and change to the new homestead plot.
  • Decoration templates can now be saved and loaded by accessing the gear icon in the upper-right corner while in your homestead. Saving a template will record all your current decorations in their current placements. Loading a template will place all saved decorations in the recorded placements.

New Masteries[edit]

Skimmer[edit]

During your time in Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity, you will gain access to the skimmers of Castora alongside a new set of Masteries to expand upon and enhance their capabilities. When trained, these skimmers will gain new travel options, like moving above and within water, temporarily empowering their hovering capabilities to increase speed and ascent height, riding ley lines or updrafts, and searching for treasure across the waters of Tyria. On the combat front, they will learn to fire water jets that damage enemies or heal allies, dash repeatedly without dismounting, and detect nearby threats.

Players who have previously trained skimmer Masteries in Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire will receive additional boosts to those Masteries. For more information, please visit our skimmer blog post here.

Wild Castoran Magic[edit]

The wild magic of Castora is ripe for the taming. As you progress through the storyline of Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity, you'll unlock the ability to utilize the ancient and untouched magic of the land to find treasure from long ago.

Castoran Survivalist[edit]

The beautiful yet hostile land of Castora is full of wonder, beauty, and danger. Learn to adapt and survive on this new continent like the locals and thrive as you journey across Castora.

Wizard's Vault[edit]

The Wizard's Vault's inventory has been updated for the new season. Last season's unique rewards are now available in the Legacy tab.

With the release of Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity, this season's new unique rewards now require ownership of the new expansion to purchase. Legacy rewards will continue to require their associated expansions.

  • New special objectives for the season have been added. More will appear over the course of the season, including special objectives associated with bonus events and festivals.
  • New daily and weekly objectives have been added for adventuring in Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity, as well as the "Absolution" release of Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds.

General[edit]

  • Increased the fidelity of dynamic shadows on medium, high, and ultra shadow settings.
  • A Screen Space Shadows toggle has been added to the Graphics Options menu for new shadow casting.
  • Cats and other pets associated with 2024 Extra Life charity donation incentives have appeared across Tyria, visible only while under the effects of the Chatoyant Elixir, Chatoyant Infusion, or Chatoyant Lens. Animals from 2024 donations are present in a core Tyria map as well as a hidden island in the Castora region.
  • The volume of all pre-rendered cinematics are now adjusted using the cinematics volume slider, with the exception of those in the core game, Living World Season 1, and Living World Season 2.
  • Players will now receive an in-game chat notification when items are automatically claimed from mail. Mail from other players is not affected.

Evoker[edit]

Evokers now gain a passive bonus based on their selected familiar:

  • Fox: Gain might when you inflict burning (1-second internal cooldown).
  • Otter: Heal allies when you grant them regeneration.
  • Hare: Your ferocity is increased while you have fury.
  • Toad: Gain protection when you disable an enemy (0.25-second internal cooldown).

A number of traits have moved or have been reworked. The following is a summary of the new traits by tier.

  • Adept
    • Fiery Might.png Fiery Might: Your burning damage is increased. Deal increased strike damage to burning foes.
    • Earthen Fortification.png Altruistic Aspect: Meditations grant boons to nearby allies.
    • Soothing Evasion.png Spirit's Succor: Heal yourself when you use a familiar skill.
  • Master
    • Familiar's Focus.png Familiar's Focus: Familiar's Prowess is improved.
    • Familiar's Blessing.png Familiar's Blessing: Grant boons to nearby allies when you use a familiar skill. This trait now grants quickness instead of might when the fox is selected, and it grants alacrity instead of protection in PvE when the toad is selected.
    • Electric Enchantment (trait).png Elemental Dynamo: Gain one familiar charge when attuning to your selected element.
  • Grandmaster
    • Blazing Restoration.png Galvanic Enchantment: After you use a familiar skill, your next strikes create an arc of chain lightning. Chain lightning created by evoker skills inflicts burning.
    • Elemental Balance.png Elemental Balance: Every second time you enter your selected attunement, the next elementalist weapon skill you use will recharge faster.
    • Specialized Elements.png Specialized Elements: This trait now also reduces the recharge of your weapon skills by a smaller amount when using your familiar's basic skill.
  • Fox's Fury.png Fox's Fury: When fire is your specialized element, this skill now grants additional might stacks and deals damage to enemies around the target in addition to breaking stun. Reduced the burning duration when above 20 might stacks from 7 seconds to 5 seconds in PvE only.
  • Hare's Agility.png Hare's Agility: This skill no longer evades attacks and instead grants swiftness and endurance to the user. When air is your specialized element, this skill grants blur to the user in addition to breaking stun. The chain-lightning effect granted by this skill has been renamed Electric Enchantment. Reduced the Electric Enchantment power coefficient from 1 to 0.55 in PvE only.
  • Otter's Compassion.png Otter's Compassion: This skill no longer converts conditions into regeneration. Instead, it removes conditions from nearby allies while granting them vigor, resolution, and a brief increase to their incoming healing. When water is your specialized element, this skill breaks stun for nearby allies.
  • Toad's Fortitude.png Toad's Fortitude: This skill now grants protection to nearby allies. When earth is your specialized element, this skill grants resistance to nearby allies in addition to breaking stun for the user.
  • Ignite.png Ignite: Increased the range from 900 to 1,200. Reduced the burning duration from 4 seconds to 2 seconds in PvE only.
  • Conflagration.png Conflagration: Reduced the burning from 3 stacks for 8 seconds to 2 stacks for 6 seconds in PvE only.
  • Splash.png Splash: Reduced the base healing from 1,359 to 951 in PvP only.
  • Buoyant Deluge.png Buoyant Deluge: Reduced the base healing from 4,510 to 3,383 in PvP only.
  • Zap (skill).png Zap: This skill is now enemy targeted instead of ground targeted. Increased the range from 900 to 1,200. Reduced the power coefficient from 0.5428 to 0.3257 in PvE only. Reduced the critical-damage bonus to marked targets from 7% to 4% in PvE only.
  • Lightning Blitz.png Lightning Blitz: This skill now also weakens enemies and grants stacks of Electric Enchantment for each unique enemy struck. Reduced the power coefficient per strike from 0.2533 to 0.152 in PvE only.
  • Calcify.png Calcify: This skill will now grant barrier when striking any enemy instead of requiring the enemy to be using a skill. Reduced the base barrier from 1,359 to 951 in PvP only.

Engineer[edit]

Amalgam[edit]
  • Offensive Protocol- Obliterate.png Offensive Protocol: Obliterate: Reduced the power coefficient from 4 to 3.2 in PvE and from 1.89 to 1.5 in WvW and PvP. Reduced the Titanic Strain might bonus from 10 to 5 in PvE only.
  • Offensive Protocol- Shred.png Offensive Protocol: Shred: Reduced the power coefficient per hit from 1.33 to 1.065 in PvE and from 0.45 to 0.375 in PvP. This skill can no longer be cast on enemies behind the user.
  • Offensive Protocol- Pierce.png Offensive Protocol: Pierce: Reduced the power coefficient from 4 to 3.2 in PvE only.
  • Offensive Protocol- Demolish.png Offensive Protocol: Demolish: Reduced the spin power coefficient per hit from 0.5 to 0.4 and the smash power coefficient from 1.25 to 1.0 in WvW only.
  • Defensive Protocol- Thorns.png Defensive Protocol: Thorns: This skill is now instantly cast and no longer applies stability. Increased the interval from 0.5 seconds to 1 second.
  • Evolve.png Evolve: Reduced the cooldown from 45 seconds to 40 seconds in PvE and increased the cooldown from 45 seconds to 55 seconds in PvP and WvW. Reduced the duration of Evolve and all strain effects from 8 seconds to 6 seconds in WvW and PvP.
  • Symbiotic Shielding.png Symbiotic Shielding: Reduced the magnetic aura duration from 4 seconds to 2.5 seconds in WvW and PvP.
  • Gaseous State.png Gaseous State: Increased the cooldown from 25 seconds to 30 seconds and reduced the duration from 5 seconds to 4 seconds in WvW and PvP.
  • Plasmatic State.png Plasmatic State: Reduced the damage increase from 15% to 7%. Increased the power coefficient per hit from 1.8 to 2.25 in PvE and lowered the power coefficient per hit from 1.2 to 1.0 in WvW.
  • Flux State.png Flux State: Increased the cooldown from 50 seconds to 60 seconds in WvW and PvP.
  • Stainless Steel.png Stainless Steel: Increased the number of conditions converted on stance use from 1 to 2 in PvE only.
  • Innervating Alloy.png Innervating Alloy: Increased the pulse base healing from 101 to 202 and the pulse healing power coefficient from 0.02 to 0.04 in PvE only.
  • Hybrid Vigor.png Hybrid Vigor: Increased the base barrier from 783 to 1,295 in PvE only.
  • Willing Host.png Willing Host: Reduced the condition damage increase from 15% to 7% in PvE only.
  • Carbolic Composition.png Carbolic Composition: Lowered the poison duration from 2.5 to 1.5 in PvP only.
  • Mercurial Tendencies.png Mercurial Tendencies: Reduced the cooldown reduction from 3 seconds to 2 seconds in PvE and increased the cooldown reduction from 3 seconds to 4 seconds in PvP.
  • Silver Lining.png Silver Lining: This trait no longer reduces strain effects in PvE only. This trait now grants reduced might stacks instead of might duration with Offensive Protocol: Obliterate.
  • Symbiotic Synergy.png Symbiotic Synergy: Reduced the morph skill damage bonus from 33% to 10% in PvE only.
  • Double Helix.png Double Helix: Lowered the attribute bonus increase from 50% to 20% in WvW and PvP.
  • New Genes.png New Genes: This trait replaces Contagious Mutation. Grant boons to allies when you use a Morph skill. Grant an additional boon based on which Morph skill was used.

Guardian[edit]

Luminary[edit]
  • Core Virtues have been replaced by Radiant Virtues with unique active effects.
  • Radiant Justice.png Radiant Justice: Gain quickness. The next time you use Dazzling Hammer, it creates a delayed secondary impact that does additional damage and inflicts vulnerability.
  • Radiant Resolve.png Radiant Resolve: Heal yourself and nearby allies while granting light aura. The next time you use Luminous Staff, it heals allies and grants them regeneration.
  • Radiant Courage.png Radiant Courage: Grant aegis, resistance, and Luminary's Blessing to yourself and nearby allies while breaking yourself out of stun effects. The next time you use Gleaming Blade, it deals increased damage and immobilizes enemies. The next time you use Radiant Bulwark, it grants barrier to nearby allies.
  • Enter Radiant Forge.png Radiant Shroud: This skill has been renamed Radiant Forge. The maximum recharge time of this skill has been reduced from 20 seconds to 10 seconds in PvE and from 20 seconds to 15 seconds in PvP and WvW.
  • Dazzling Hammer.png Dazzling Hammer: Reduced the casting time from 1 second to 0.6 seconds. This skill now grants light aura to the user if it finishes a combo. Increased the power coefficient from 1.5 to 2.5 in PvE only. Reduced the cooldown from 10 seconds to 7 seconds in PvE only.
  • Shining Spin.png Shining Spin: Increased the power coefficient from 2 to 2.25 in PvE only.
  • Luminous Staff.png Luminous Staff: Reduced the casting time from 0.933 seconds to 0.633 seconds. Increased the power coefficient per hit from 0.55 to 0.65 in PvE only.
  • Restorative Glow.png Restorative Glow: Reduced the casting time from 0.72 seconds to 0.54 seconds.
  • Gleaming Blade.png Gleaming Blade: Increased the power coefficient from 1.15 to 2.0 in PvE only.
  • Lucent Thrust.png Lucent Thrust: This skill now fires a bouncing projectile of light in addition to its previous effects, and it no longer inflicts immobilized on movement-impaired foes.
  • Radiant Bulwark.png Radiant Bulwark: Fixed an issue that prevented this skill from being interrupted by other skills.
  • Brilliant Slam.png Brilliant Slam: This skill now deals increased defiance-bar damage to defiant foes.
  • Piercing Stance.png Piercing Stance: This skill now grants an unconditional strike-damage bonus; it no longer requires striking a controlled or immobilized enemy. Reduced the strike-damage bonus from 15% to 10%.
  • Valorous Stance.png Valorous Stance: Increased the base healing from 51 to 76.
  • Effulgent Stance.png Effulgent Stance: Reduced the base barrier from 3,973 to 2,980 in PvP only.
  • Light's Gift.png Luminary's Blessing: Updated the description to better communicate that healing will also occur when the effect is replaced by another instance of itself. The behavior is unchanged. Reduced the base healing from 591 to 296 in PvP only. Reduced the strike damage reduction from 10% to 7% in PvP only.
  • Resplendent Weaponry.png Resplendent Virtues: This trait has been renamed Resplendent Weaponry and now triggers when equipping a radiant weapon instead of when using a Virtue skill.
  • Radiant Armaments.png Radiant Armaments: The bonus granted while wielding the radiant hammer is now an unconditional strike-damage bonus; it no longer requires striking a controlled or immobilized enemy. Reduced the strike-damage bonus from 15% to 10%.
  • Purging Light.png Purging Light: This trait now grants light aura when using a healing skill in addition to its previous effects.
  • Shimmering Stances.png Steadfast Recovery: This trait has been removed and replaced with Shimmering Stances. Stances grant protection to affected allies and blind affected enemies.
  • Resolute Blessing.png Shining Restoration: This trait has been removed and replaced with Resolute Blessing. Luminary's Blessing also reduces incoming condition damage.
  • Sovereign of Light.png Sovereign of Light: Adjusted the timing for when this trait triggers. If a player uses a skill that grants light aura while they already have light aura, the existing light aura will now detonate before the new one is applied. This also means that luminary skills that apply light aura will not immediately detonate the new light aura. Reduced the power coefficient from 1.67 to 0.8 in PvP and WvW. Reduced the base healing from 1,289 to 773 in PvP only.

Mesmer[edit]

Troubadour[edit]
  • Lively Lute.png Reverberating Lute: This skill has been reworked and renamed Lively Lute. Send damaging sound waves toward an enemy and healing tones toward allies.
  • Deafening Drum.png Deafening Drum: Increased the speed of the shock wave.
  • Harmonious Harp.png Harmonious Harp: This skill has been reworked. Gain distortion as you channel the harp, continuously healing nearby allies.
  • Crescendo.png Crescendo: Reduced the power coefficient from 1.25 to 1.0 in WvW and PvP.
  • Tale of the Second Scion.png Tale of the Second Scion: Reduced the cooldown from 25 seconds to 15 seconds and reduced the casting time by 0.25 seconds. Reduced the base self-healing from 4,815 to 3,535 and the base ally healing from 3,530 to 2,250. This skill now always applies Scion's Reprieve to allies and grants a note when used while two or more instruments are playing. Reduced the Scion's Reprieve healing increase from 33% to 20% in PvE and from 20% to 15% in WvW and PvP.
  • Tale of the Soulkeeper.png Tale of the Soulkeeper: This skill now applies quickness in addition to its previous effects. This skill no longer applies alacrity in PvE.
  • Tale of the Tortured Mastermind.png Tale of the Tortured Mastermind: Reduced the cooldown from 25 seconds to 20 seconds in PvE only. Increased the power coefficient per hit from 0.75 to 1.0 and increased the daze duration from 2 seconds to 3 seconds in PvE only. This skill now always applies torment on hit and grants a note when used while the flute is playing.
  • Tale of the Honorable Rogue.png Tale of the Honorable Rogue: This skill no longer applies swiftness and removes movement-impairing conditions and instead applies aegis in PvE and PvP and stability in WvW. This skill now always applies superspeed and grants a note when used while the drums are playing.
  • Tale of the Valiant Marshal.png Tale of the Valiant Marshal: This skill now applies stability instead of protection in PvE and PvP. This skill now grants a note instead of barrier when used while the harp is playing.
  • Wandering Minstrel.png Wandering Minstrel: This trait now grants a note every 10 seconds while out of combat.
  • Mayhem.png Mayhem: This trait now reduces the cooldown of Flustering Flute when you dodge and no longer heals when applying torment or confusion while the flute is playing.
  • Raconteur.png Raconteur: This trait has been reworked and moved to the adept tier, replacing Hold the Note. This trait now causes tales to heal and grant protection to nearby allies.
  • Syncopate.png Syncopate: This trait no longer requires the drum to be playing to deal damage when you disable.
  • Symphonic Resonance.png Symphonic Resonance: This trait has been reworked and moved to the master tier minor trait slot. Gain unique bonuses for each instrument playing.
    • Lively Lute.png Lute: Increased outgoing damage and healing.
    • Flustering Flute.png Flute: Increased endurance regeneration.
    • Deafening Drum.png Drum: Increased movement speed.
    • Harmonious Harp.png Harp: Heal nearby allies every second.
  • Shredding.png Shredding: This trait now causes Lively Lute to fire an additional projectile instead of increasing damage per wave. Reduced the damage increase while the lute is playing from 20% to 15% in PvE only.
  • Life of the Party.png Life of the Party: This is a new trait in the master tier. Lively Lute and Crescendo apply boons to affected allies.
  • Love Song.png Love Song: This trait has been reworked. It causes Harmonious Harp's distortion to last longer and reduces incoming strike damage from nearby enemies while the harp is playing.
  • Harmonize.png Harmonize: This trait has been reworked and moved to the grandmaster tier minor trait slot. Gain a note when you use a phantasm skill.
  • Fortissimo.png Fortissimo: Reduced the attribute increase per instrument playing from 5% to 4%.
  • Altered Chord.png Altered Chord: This trait now requires an instrument to consume at least one note to grant the Crescendo recharge.

Necromancer[edit]

Ritualist[edit]
  • Rupture skills have been renamed Innervation skills and no longer destroy their respective spirits.
  • Anguish.png Anguish: Reduced the cooldown from 12 seconds to 7 seconds in PvE only. Spirit of Anguish now spawns in front of the ritualist instead of adjacent to the ritualist.
  • Anguish.png Painful Bond: This effect now also pulses damage that scales with the applier's power.
  • Wanderlust.png Wanderlust: The strike performed by the ritualist no longer inflicts dazed. Increased the power coefficient per strike from 0.09 to 0.18 in PvE only. Reduced the cooldown from 18 seconds to 12 seconds in PvE only.
  • Preservation.png Preservation: Reduced the base healing from 1,970 to 1,182 in PvP only.
  • Summon Spirits.png Summon Spirits: This skill now causes any active spirits that aren't currently using their initial skill to immediately use an additional unique skill.

Conduit[edit]
  • Affinity: Default maximum affinity has been increased to 5. Legendary skills that cost 25 energy or more now grant 1 additional affinity when used. Upkeep abilities grant 1 affinity for every 3 seconds they have been channeled.
  • Release Potential: This replaces Cosmic Wisdom in the F2 slot. Skills are automatically equipped based on the legend you are currently invoking.
  • Release Potential- Mesmer.png Release Potential: Assassin: This skill is automatically equipped when Legendary Assassin Stance is active. Using this skill sends out three increasingly larger shock waves from yourself that damage and inflict conditions on enemies around you. Enemies that are struck by all three waves are additionally immobilized. Damage and immobilize duration increases with each point of affinity.
  • Release Potential- Monk.png Release Potential: Monk: This skill is automatically equipped when Legendary Centaur Stance is active. Using this skill grants regeneration and resistance to allies around Ventari's Tablet, and you gain energy depending on the number of allies affected by this skill. Boon duration is increased with each point of affinity.
  • Release Potential- Dervish.png Release Potential: Dervish: This skill is automatically equipped when Legendary Entity Stance is active. Using this skill causes you to slam your scythe down, creating a shock wave that damages enemies around you. This skill gains additional effects based on the other legend you have equipped. Additionally, for each point of affinity, this skill gains one additional random bonus effect. Having three or more affinity grants all bonus effects.
  • Release Potential- Mesmer.png Release Potential: Mesmer: This skill is automatically equipped when Legendary Demon Stance is active. Using this skill creates an eruption of despair around you, inflicting torment on enemies and dazing them. For each enemy struck, you inflict torment on yourself. Each point of affinity you have increases the torment duration on enemies and reduces the torment duration on yourself.
  • Release Potential- Warrior.png Release Potential: Warrior: This skill is automatically equipped when Legendary Dwarf Stance is active. Using this skill causes you to leap to the targeted area while evading attacks, damaging enemies at the target location. Gain barrier if at least one enemy was struck. Each point of affinity increases the damage dealt and the barrier granted by this skill.
  • Cosmic Wisdom.png Cosmic Wisdom: This skill has been moved to the F3 slot. This skill now lasts 7 seconds by default, and affinity does not increase the duration further. Activating Cosmic Wisdom grants you the corresponding form associated with your legend, and you automatically switch forms when you invoke a different legend.
  • Form of the Assassin.png Form of the Assassin: This skill no longer grants increased attributes. Now, whenever you use a Legendary Assassin skill or are channeling Impossible Odds, fire enchanted daggers at nearby enemies.
  • Form of the Mesmer.png Form of the Mesmer: This skill no longer grants increased attributes. Your Legendary Demon skills now have reduced energy costs, but your utility skills have increased cooldowns.
  • Form of the Monk.png Form of the Monk: This skill no longer grants increased attributes. Your Legendary Centaur skills are now always empowered and do not consume the tranquil effect.
  • Form of the Warrior.png Form of the Warrior: This skill no longer grants increased attributes. While Forced Engagement, Vengeful Hammers, or Rite of the Great Dwarf are active, you will now deal damage to nearby enemies when you are attacked.
  • Form of the Dervish.png Form of the Dervish: This skill no longer grants increased attributes. Whenever you use a Legendary Entity skill, a magical scythe now appears and spins around you, dealing damage to enemies.
  • Beguiling Haze.png Beguiling Haze: All versions of this skill now use ground targeting. While Legendary Assassin Stance is equipped, this skill now gains increased damage and removes boons if only one enemy was struck.
  • Gladiator's Defense.png Gladiator's Defense: Reduced the additional energy drain when breaking a stun from 20 seconds to 10 seconds.
  • Twin Moon Sweep.png Twin Moon Sweep: Reduced the cooldown from 10 seconds to 3 seconds.
  • Bolstered Bonds.png Bolstered Bonds: Attributes granted by this trait have been adjusted. These attributes are now increased further when Cosmic Wisdom is active.
  • Numinous Gift.png Numinous Gift: This trait additionally causes the third minor trait of your other equipped specializations to have improved effectiveness. This trait now grants might when you use Cosmic Wisdom with any legend in addition to the other boons that were granted originally.
  • Ethereal Purification.png Ethereal Purification: This trait has been moved to the master tier. This trait now removes conditions when you enter Cosmic Wisdom and removes additional conditions at an interval when Cosmic Wisdom is active.
  • Kinetic Insight.png Kinetic Insight: This trait has been removed and replaced with Kinetic Insight.
  • Kinetic Insight.png Kinetic Insight: This trait now reduces the cooldowns of Release Potential skills and increases the effectiveness of those skills, equivalent to two additional points of affinity (up to its normal maximum).
  • Lingering Determination.png Lingering Determination: This trait has been moved to the adept tier. This trait now grants affinity whenever you invoke a legend.
  • Boundless Knowledge.png Boundless Knowledge: This trait has been moved to the adept tier. This trait now grants boons whenever you reach maximum affinity.
  • Expanded Consciousness.png Expanded Consciousness: This trait has been reworked and moved to the master tier. This trait now heals and grants endurance whenever you gain affinity and additionally grants energy when you reach maximum affinity.
  • Enhanced Embodiment.png Twofold Embodiment: This trait has been removed and replaced with Enhanced Embodiment.
  • Mistfire.png Mistfire: Reduced the burning stacks from 3 to 2 in PvE only.
  • Enhanced Embodiment.png Enhanced Embodiment: This trait reduces the recharge of invoking legends in combat and extends the duration of Cosmic Wisdom when you invoke a legend.
  • Perpetual Wisdom.png Perpetual Wisdom: This trait has been reworked. While this trait is active, Cosmic Wisdom is always activated, but your passive energy regeneration is reduced.

  • Artifacts: Whenever you gain artifacts, you will now always receive an offensive and defensive artifact in that order, regardless of traits equipped.
  • Skritt Swipe.png Skritt Swipe: This skill no longer requires a target to be used and will grant artifacts even if your opponent evades, blocks, or is not targeted.
  • Chak Shield.png Chak Shield: In addition to its previous effects, for a short time after using this skill, your next weapon skills that cost initiative refund all initiative.
  • Exalted Hammer.png Exalted Hammer: In addition to its previous effects, for a short period of time after using this skill, using any weapon skill that costs initiative creates an additional healing burst at your location.
  • Forged Surfer Dash.png Forged Surfer Dash: In addition to its previous effects, for a short period of time after using this skill, continue to drop additional bombs at your location every interval. Reduced the burning from 2 stacks for 10 seconds to 1 stack for 6 seconds.
  • Holo-Dancer Decoy.png Holo-Dancer Decoy: In addition to its previous effects, for a short period of time after using this skill, the next utility skill you use has a reduced cooldown.
  • Summon Kryptis Turret.png Summon Kryptis Turret: In addition to its previous effects, for a short period of time after using this skill, your other strikes deal increased damage to enemies that were struck by the turret. This skill now also inflicts torment on enemies that it strikes.
  • Metal Legion Guitar.png Metal Legion Guitar: In addition to its previous effects, for a short period of time after using this skill, your next autoattacks are sneak attacks, even when not in stealth. Increased the power coefficient of initial damage pulses from 1.0 to 1.2 in PvE only. Increased the power coefficient of the final smash from 2.0 to 3.0 in PvE only. Increased the confusion duration from 6 seconds to 8 seconds in PvE only.
  • Mistburn Mortar.png Mistburn Mortar: In addition to its previous effects, for a short period of time after using this skill, your next five strikes additionally inflict burning on enemies. Reduced the burning duration from 6 seconds to 2 seconds in PvE only.
  • Zephyrite Sun Crystal.png Zephyrite Sun Crystal: In addition to its previous effects, if this skill strikes an enemy, this skill may be used again for a short period of time. Reduced the power coefficient from 1.2 to 1.0 in PvE only. Reduced the burning duration from 5 seconds to 4 seconds in PvE only.
  • Unstable Skritt Bomb.png Unstable Skritt Bomb: This skill no longer launches you when activated. This skill now knocks enemies back instead of launching them. In addition to its previous effects, for a short period of time after using this skill, you take increased strike and condition damage.
  • Repeat Ransacker.png Split Deck: This trait has been removed and replaced with Repeat Ransacker.
  • Repeat Ransacker.png Repeat Ransacker: This trait reduces the recharge of Skritt Swipe whenever you use an artifact.
  • Prolific Plunderer.png Prolific Plunderer: This trait has been changed to now grant you an additional, random artifact in addition to one offensive and one defensive artifact. The additional artifact use granted by this trait is now only applied when Skritt Swipe is used.
  • Scoundrel's Luck.png Scoundrel's Luck: This trait has been changed to grant Scoundrel's Luck upon using an artifact.
  • Meticulous Custodian.png Meticulous Custodian: In addition to its previous effects, this trait now also causes the unique beneficial effects provided by artifacts to last longer and/or gain additional charges.
  • Possessive Hoarder.png Possessive Hoarder: This trait has been changed to grant barrier and boons to allies around you when used. Using an offensive artifact now grants alacrity and might to allies in PvE and fury and might in PvP and WvW. Using a defensive artifact now grants regeneration and protection to allies in all modes.

  • Chant of Action.png Chant of Action: Reduced the might duration from 6 seconds to 4 seconds and the fury duration from 3 seconds to 2 seconds in WvW only.
  • Chant of Recuperation.png Chant of Recuperation: This skill now also grants vigor to affected allies when activated and grants regeneration to allies at the highest motivation tier instead of resistance. Increased the cooldown from 15 seconds to 18 seconds in WvW and PvP. Lowered the barrier healing power multiplier from 1.0 to 0.5 in WvW and PvP. Lowered the chant's base healing from 330/495/660 to 330/431/532 and the healing power multiplier from 0.2/0.3/0.4 to 0.1/0.15/0.2 in WvW and PvP.
  • Chant of Freedom.png Chant of Freedom: This skill now also grants stability to affected allies when activated and grants protection to allies at the highest motivation tier instead of stability. Increased the cooldown from 25 seconds to 30 seconds in WvW and PvP.
  • "We Shall Return!".png "We Shall Return!": This skill now also grants adrenaline when its echo triggers.
  • "Brace Yourselves!".png "Brace Yourselves!": This skill now also grants protection to allies and grants adrenaline to the user when activated and when its echo triggers. Lowered the initial barrier from 1,945 to 1,305, the echo barrier from 980 to 660, the initial healing power multiplier from 0.7 to 0.5, and the echo healing power multiplier from 0.6 to 0.3 in WvW and PvP.
  • "Find Their Weakness!".png "Find Their Weakness!": This skill now strikes enemies around a targeted enemy instead of striking nearby enemies. This skill inflicts vulnerability on the initial target, then copies any vulnerability on that target to other enemies struck by the attack. This skill now also grants adrenaline to the user when its echo triggers, based on the number of enemies struck by the attack.
  • "Never Surrender!".png "Never Surrender!": This skill now grants aegis and resistance to nearby allies when activated and grants regeneration and resolution to nearby allies when its echo triggers. Lowered the resistance duration from 4 seconds to 2 seconds in WvW only.
  • "On Your Knees!".png "On Your Knees!": This skill now also inflicts weakness on its initial strike and immobilizes instead of inflicting weakness when its echo triggers.
  • "We Will Never Yield!".png "We Will Never Yield!": This skill now affects allies when activated and grants superspeed to nearby allies when its echo triggers.
  • Inspiring Implements.png Inspiring Implements: This trait has been reworked. Gain concentration. Gain motivation when you swap weapons.
  • Unyielding Resolve.png Unyielding Resolve: Lowered the damage reduction per stack from 1.5% to 1% in WvW and PvP.
  • Calming Tongue.png Calming Tongue: This trait has been reworked. Chant of Recuperation removes conditions from affected allies when activated.

  • Feverish Pulse.png Feverish Pulse: This trait now triggers when activating a chant instead of transitioning to a different refrain and also reduces the recharge time of other chants. Increased the alacrity duration from 5 to 6 in PvE and reduced the quickness duration from 2.5 seconds to 1 second in WvW and 1.5 seconds in PvP.
  • Enduring Refrain.png Enduring Refrain: This trait no longer reduces motivation costs and instead grants additional motivation when activating a chant.

Once again, the gates of the Mad Realm have opened and Kryta's most infamous monarch, Mad King Thorn, has returned to hold court in Lion's Arch! Loyal vassals of the king are strongly encouraged to enjoy the festivities. Meet the denizens of the Mad Realm in events across Kryta, tour the Mad Realm itself in the Mad King's Labyrinth and fearsome Clock Tower, compete with your fellow mortals in Lunatic Inquisition, Reaper's Rumble, and the Mad King's Raceway, attend to the king's whims in his notorious pastime of Mad King Says, or match wits and blades against royalty in Ascent to Madness.
