I'll be the first to say. #$&& yeah! EiveTalk 09:48, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
OMG I want every single one of those!!!!! Is that a scythe I see or just a large two handed axe?! (Usaf1a8xx 12:04, 7 August 2010 (UTC))
I think it's a spear :P The Holy Dragons 12:28, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Jormag corrupted/Sons of Svanir weapons? --SirrushUser Sirrush sig.jpg 12:53, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Jormag based weapons I can see with the dragon art and jagged edges mixed with the eerie cold blue flames. I could also see these weapons by the Zhaitan-controlled undead residents of the former sunken Orr. Regardless of where they originate from, I want that Halberd and Greatsword. — Gares 14:15, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
I hope the in-game renders of those match up better than the Bone Dragon Staff does, haha. - Infinite - talk 15:59, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
If you look closely you can see coral like formations around the handles. On a related note, these are sexy beyond belief.CelleyBear 17:53, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) If they are of any Elder Dragon, I doubt it is Jormag. His is of ice thus I wouldn't expect blue flames but rather, you know, ice. I dunno if those are corals, but it isn't improbable to be off of the dsd. -- Konig/talk 18:31, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

I'm expecting these weapons to Zhaitan-related, tbh,... His undead always had blue flames surrounding them in the concept arts. You should know that all too well, King of Death. --Naoroji User Naoroji Golem - Green.jpg 18:35, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Uh... no. That's the ghosts of Ascalon created from the foefire... Zhaitan's undead are thorny and gray. -- Konig/talk 22:26, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Charr would look so cool with these weapons. I really hope this set made it in the game.99.1.41.126 19:22, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

In case anyone else is wondering which of these is which (might just be me) at the top row from left to right, it goes Greatsword, Sword, Dagger, Hammer?, Mace, Shield, Axe, Staff, Scepter?, Spear?, Bow. "Bottom" row is Rifle, Pistol, Focus?, Torch?, Warhorn. This must be like the other weapon sets that have spears with them, and I think it's odd that they all only have one type of bow as well. EiveTalk 04:27, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
I think in the original concepts, spears were meant to replace shortbows. But that was changed. Would make sense - both are of the same distance in GW1 and all. -- Konig/talk 12:21, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) This weapon set, if it looked generally like how it does in this art, would be the most sought after orgasmic weapon set ever... Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 16:59, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Gamescom Demo[edit]

i think the charr in one of the videos was using dual axes from this set. Victor6267 User Roaring Taco Black Moa Chick.png 14:01, 19 August 2010 (UTC) forgot sig

No, there are noticeable differences between these and the demo axes. CelleyBear 14:27, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Just heard Izzy say that this is called the Ascalon Ghostly Set. Shuld we put this with an actual page name then? (Usaf1a8xx 16:44, 21 August 2010 (UTC))
If you can provide a source, then sure. EiveTalk 21:13, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
Only source I have are my own two ears as I watched the live stream from Gamescon on Friday evening (1830 Germany time). If someone recorded that and has it Youtube or something then there you go. But I listened to Isaiah Cartright (Izzy) giving a running commentary on the live demo via the live feed and he said something to the effect of "As you can see his axe is glowing. This axe is part of the Ascalon Ghostly set of weapons." (Usaf1a8xx 01:35, 23 August 2010 (UTC))
He did in fact say that, but these are not the same weapons. CelleyBear 03:28, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
They sure look the same to me...and correction it was saturday at that time i stated not friday for the live feed. (Usaf1a8xx 03:58, 23 August 2010 (UTC))

Why are they still showing weapons choices not in the game?[edit]

Why they still showing weapon choices not in the game?--Knighthonor 03:43, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Because they're concept art? Concept art doesn't have to be in the game and, more than likely, this image - along with the other two weapon sets - predate the decision to not have the spear. As I said above, they probably originally intended to have spears instead of shortbows, but decided to go with the shortbows instead. -- Konig/talk 03:44, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
These kind of look like the ghostly weapons Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 03:45, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
Not really. They're too draconic imo. -- Konig/talk 03:50, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
I only watched low res videos of the demos, so you might be right. Could swear that I saw that bow in one though... Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 03:56, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
The ghastly weapons they were using had the same blue auras, but the bow I saw from that set didn't have the massive wing. -- Aspectacle User Aspectacle.png 04:03, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
They look more like they have an "ice drake" theme to me. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 04:12, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
