Gimped[edit]

Gimped screen

Cartoon Interpretation

you know, with this image, you can kinda see the "sword" looks too short.. looks like a spear/pike, actually, which is odd, as everyone's quite sure spears aren't in game.. maybe a dagger? either way, the blade is far too short to be a sword.. really nice work on modding the image though.. note- I didn't make the screen shot, but someone seems to have left it here without giving a name. thanks mystery image editor!~ Reez

It looks like a rifle now. 98.114.64.120 00:48, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
How do you figure? That's plenty long enough to be a sword. Arshay Duskbrow 03:54, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
It's an illusive/ghostly sword floating above the hand. --I AmLegion talk 06:31, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
So according to you illusionary weaponry is back? Hope Mesmer wont base on Strenght attribute for DPS then.... CaiusTheBig User talk:Caiusthebig 08:33, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
Technically, it could be a sword, but it would be shorter than most sword seen in the game, or concept art, though we all know we can't really trust concept art. thing is, the handle seems to extend lower beneath the sword/pike/gun/whatever far farther than most handles, and just the way they're holding it suggests that it's a spear. like part of it is sitting on the ground. Also, the shape of the blade looks more like a spear point than a sword, because it gets thinner towards the hilt, where most swords don't. of course, we won't know until it's revealed. Reez 19:50, 14 September (UTC)

(Reset indent) What if its not a sword at all, what if its just a staff? (the height, the posture, the logical grip location, and the shape all could be pointing to a staff.) Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 01:12, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

That's what I was saying. the overall posture and grip on the -weapon- suggest that it extends towards the ground, like a spear or a staff.. I just sort of said spear because the top was rather pointed. Reez 23:37 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Could be a gun with a bayonet. Nohjo 15:46, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
You could all be looking to much into the fine details of an otherwise detailless image. Notice how on http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:GDC_2010_purplefan.png There are beams of light shooting out around the 'mesmer'? This after image could merely by the remainder of one of those, which coincidentally, along with all the other scrambled bits of the image, looks somewhat like a sword... 220.253.87.149 17:16, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
Also, further reasoning for it to just be white-noise, or something in the background that was unintentionally left there, is that on all the other pictures revealed, the weapons/details were all apparent in the shadows as they were in the revealeds. Why cut this 'sword' out of this picture? 220.253.87.149 17:21, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Why is everyone so convinced it's a sword or weapon? Kinda looks like a dress to me... 69.65.87.68 14:09, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

we're talking about the thing floating above her hand.. that isn't a dress.. --you like that don't you..The Holy Dragons 16:22, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
That's what I'm talking about too. It definitely looks like a dress to me... or at least some article of clothing. It's coming off at the hip, and is curved and rounder at the tip. 69.65.87.68 19:48, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Looks like a very large object (maybe a fan) held behind her body via the left hand. I personally don't see the 'sword' ya'll are seeing (its a bit too wide) and for sure dont see it as an extension of a dress. I REALLY hope its NOT a Mesmer... The mesmer has always been a bit of a Greiver proffession imo but if but it is going to be a returning 'scholar' profession from GW1 the only options that have not been directly represented already are Ritualist and Mesmer, and Rits are somewhat covered in the Gaurdian :C 107.60.134.50 03:46, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
Illusionary Weaponry Mesmer ftw Tomoko 10:17, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
The Engineer is the Rit remake. The Guardian is the monk remake, the Gaurdian is not related to Ritualist in any way except that it is also a support class. So Ritualist is represented. Paragons, Dervishes and Mesmers have not been carried over or remade yet if ever. This is going to be a Mesmer remake most likely.--Titania La Fey 19:33, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
Actually that is a very inaccurate statement, though this topic is best not reignited. If discussion here does return, the topic will be moved to someone's user space due to speculation. In short; the Paragon is also part of the guardian, as seen on the guardian article and whatever the last profession is, the wiki mainspace talk pages are not the location to speculate and discuss the options. - Infinite - talk 19:51, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

Please...[edit]

No speculation. Or at least do it on a userspace, I am more than happy to have people speculate outside of mainspace. - Lucian User Lucian.png 3:32, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Commando[edit]

Totally called it. – NuclearDuckie 23:44, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

PARAGON, kinda looks a bit like Kormir!

ILLUSIONIST (MESMER) CONFIRMED!!! - 74.171.163.219 21:56, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Confirmed? Where confirmed? Im not seeing it. Joethepirate 01:39, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

IP is just trolling >.< Besides, doubt it would be named "illusionist" when there are confirmed other mesmers in the world. 199.126.37.144 02:44, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

Mesmer[edit]

This has been revealed to be the Mesmer, unfortunately, this image doesn't appear to be the same as the revealed image of the Mesmer. This image's right arm has a short sleeved top, it has a different hairstyle, and it's head is looking down. All of the other profession reveals were exact matches. Not that it matters that much, but it's annoying, to me.--Warzog - talk 21:31, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
