In the bottom-ish right, that detailed part looks like the head of an armored pet or something. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 19:55, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

I see the pet head too, unfortunately it looks like a wolf.... I thought we were past making everyone have wolves? Eive Talk Windgrace 20:21, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Really? It just looked like a large metallic gauntlet to me... :s --AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 20:47, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I think you're right, Amannelle. The "jaw" looks more like a thumb and the bumps are more likely fingers. Besides, charr have traditionally always had devourers as pets. Maybe we can be cool like Old Mac in GW2! :P -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 22:02, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

Besides the main character being a charr, the wolf-like creature bears a resemblance to the new minions in the concept art videos. IMHO, this is a charr necromancer.--Warzog Watch your six! 06:30, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Two words: Big gun. At least, I do seem to recall Anet stating something about warriors having access to a great range of weapons and another class having access to only guns. --Petuko 00:28, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

Charzooka would be nice, but we're restricted to pistols and rifles, so it better be a damn large rifle if it's a gun. --Odal talk 10:04, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
Looks more like a Charr with a gun/pistol in his hand to me. - Infinite - talk 22:29, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Definitely. I highlighted it in a picture afterwards. You could clearly see the horns, making it a Charr, with a noticeable pistol and an arm holding it as if they were shooting somebody from over their shoulder. The lightly toned part of the picture can only mean that this is one of the professions that can have a pet. I could make a list of what the professions could be with the hints given, although they always tell you "at least". Kroff
If its a gun and a gauntlet he must be holding a Pistol with his left hand and be empty in the main hand, it could also be a rifle he holds with one hand(but that would be weird) like the Warrior holds his axe. This could mean that the profession seen here can wield a rifle or offhand pistol, it could also be an environmental weapon that the profession has created. The gauntlet could also be a metalic object. All the possibilitys seems to point at an Engineer-like profession as heavily speculated.--AdventurerPotatoe User A F K When Needed Potato icon.jpg - 13:21, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
The pistol is in his right hand, which is usually the dominant hand unless you're playing Zelda. His left hand looks like a generic charr gauntlet. I'm thinking that this is the replacement for assassins. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 16:39, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, I mixed up right and left. Meaning that a Pistol will be on the main hand.--AdventurerPotatoe User A F K When Needed Potato icon.jpg - 18:02, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Hey to me i can see a charr walking forward carrying something on this back(maybe like a rocket or a gun), his hand to his left hip wearing a gauntlet... rite? --joae123 The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.102.89.42 (talkcontribs).

Charr Adventurer with Pet[edit]

No doubt in my mind. That thing he's holding is a gun, like the charr was holding next to the charr that was holding the fiery sword in the charr battle concept art we saw in the teaser trailer. As for the pet? Come on its a bear! --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Aquatis Magicion (talk).

He won't have a pet, since we have confirmation that only two professions (Ranger and Necro) will have pets. As for what type of profession it is, most speculators have agreed that it is a gunners sorts :P --Naut User Naut Dark Blue Monk.png 18:02, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Are minions considered as pets?--Sierra Echo84.196.119.34 18:20, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
They are summoned to attack and then explode... my guess is no. They're not pets, they're slaves Lol. 173.190.27.162 22:18, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
And Naut...its not only its atleast...though chances are that necromancer minions count as pets, otherwise the only other viable option would be the second soldier... Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 22:23, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
The video from Ten Ton Hammer has one of the developers specifically refer to minions as 'pets'. Not sure if that counts as official. (Xu Davella 00:50, 29 August 2010 (UTC))
Link? I would like to see that. So far, minions are not pets. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 02:37, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Alright my two cents. I see a charr warrior of some kind, squating down, with the outer-most mid-right of image downward mid-gray streak being a bended knee, the inside downstroke being an arm, the very washed out gray in the middle being the inside thigh. I think the bottom-most smudge is a hand or foot. I cannot account for the "gun", but it seems to me that the "holster" might actually be an upside down double-bladed axe (per any barb in any video game, ever), with the handle by the charr's head and the axe-blade near the butt.
first section: Gratz! the same as we thought for some months now. second section srry I really see a gun no axe :S --User The Holy Dragons sig.pngThe Holy Dragons 13:06, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Dual-Wielding Pistols?[edit]

Guys, look again at the picture... call me crazy, but I think he's dual-weilding pistols. If you look closely you can kind of see the outlines of both barrels, one behind the other. I think we may be looking at some sort of quick, gunslinging type character. Elendor 00:46, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

I don't know, it looks like his left hand is at his side to me. Keep in mind that some "artistic liberties" were taken and that many splatters and strokes may not appear in the picture, as well as that some parts of the picture may not be represented at all. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 02:37, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

joae123, that was my first impression as well, especially after seeing this [[1]]. I personally cannot see pistols anywhere in this picture.--Decoinferno 09:54, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Gimped screen i cant make more :'(

That figure at the bottom of it is reeeeally looking like a dog now...but it cant be a pet...errrr. Zungx 14:06, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
From your pic we now know he definately has a pet and horns. his horns are not charr horns though, charr horns bend back behind the head, i think there this guys horns ---> Flame Lord concept art.jpg i hope it is, he looks awesome.--Crazy guy 05:39, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Little late, that's a charr your pointing at...--Sierra84.196.119.34 20:49, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

The Flame Lord concept art is most definitely NOT a Charr. - Infinite - talk 21:25, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
Check out my edits here, I am imagining the thing on his back is something extremely profession-specific (perhaps the base of a turret?) — Omigawa User Omigawa Wikisig.png t|c
Had a few more ideas as soon as I put this up, so check out these two alternatives.. what do you think? — Omigawa User Omigawa Wikisig.png t|c
Okay Omigawa, Hello :) When I first saw your edits, I was like "Oh wtf, copier." But Nah, I'll walk down the good-boy path for this one. So, the next couple sentences will be talking about "these two alternatives". A: I don't know what that thing is going from the torso(shoulder) down to the waist area, but I kinda like it. I see it as an arm. B:I dunno what the green thing is at the top, but the green thing at the bottom looks like a turret, which you mentioned before (up there^^^). C: I dunno what I can say. Eheheh. And you also said that this profession will have a profession-specific turret(or base of a turret), which I already said (or something similar) that "The profession could build machines, kinda like spirits in gw1, and (i dunno) make a machine to amplify the power of environmental weapons" in my discussion tab on my userpage [here]. :D So just saying, and putting it out there... Me first x).--Eclipse143 00:58, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Okay nvm on the "Me first" part on the turret thingy. Actually Infested Hydralisk was first.." --Eclipse143 01:01, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Haha yeah my ideas aren't original, they're just pictures inspired by other ideas I've heard so far :) — Omigawa User Omigawa Wikisig.png t|c

The defined part on the right side is a hand. –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH! (τѧιк) ←♥– 01:49, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
As nice as this is, it doesn't give many hints as to what this profession is actually about. EiveTalk 02:05, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
I was kind of giving the hint that the class im assuming this will be is a: Soldier/Adventurer, gun-specialist. I added the armor plates just for detail, not for "I think this will be a heavily armored class". --Eclipse143 03:14, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
Oh wow, I looked at the original after looking at your ideas, and now I cannot "unsee" the holster, I wouldnt be too suprised if this were true! Zungx 21:00, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
Nice work. That's close to what I was thinking when looking at the original. The holster kind of looks like a hand to me, though. Silmalel User Silmalel SigPic3.png 17:52, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

It doesn't look anything like a holster to me, I would guess a piece of armor, possibly a gauntlet. This image is just way too smudged and blurred from its original to derive anything from it, it looks like all of your guesses are pretty wild, especially since some of the limbs you drew on there are guessed from thin, barely-there smudges, which are more likely just background. My guess is the "2nd gun", the one higher up in the image, is just a pauldron, and their left arm is going back, with the forearm hanging down, making the "holster" a gauntlet. The rest of the body should clear up(As much as it can with this image) when you picture that in your head.--99.225.28.182 04:23, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

I just say people see what they want see --Azertah 13:10, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

i think that the red '2nd gun' is actually part of a gauntlet 86.137.78.93 20:33, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Wow, I really came close to this one :) --Eclipse143 04:31, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

Engineer[edit]

first thought..[edit]

when looking at this was that we have Pistols as weapons, and no profession to use them..and this image has what appears to be a holstered gun on the right side. So, dual-pistol wielding bandolier? And the character in the image is probably a charr, to throw us off.. NALANA 00:05, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

I don't think anyone has said it's not a Charr; I mean it's pretty obvious. --'Mai Yi' talk 00:10, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
This is not a place for speculation, but there's no holster and a charr would be expected for a gun-using profession anyway. –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH! (τѧιк) ←♥– 00:14, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
This Charr totally had a bazooka/rocket/grenade launcher on his shoulder. --Moto Saxon 06:56, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
It's a char behind one of those 3 barreled turrets we seen in the consept art. - 74.171.163.219 10:54, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
