Incoming sylvari ranger, IMO (crouching by the side of a pet). Erasculio 03:02, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Sylvari ranger does sound about right because I think they're going to do an adventurer next. Though I'm not sure I see the pet there... damn these deliberately difficult to decipher images! :P Definitely excited about the new profession -> -- Aspectacle 03:20, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

- I thought sylvari were the same size as humans or so. Even crouching it looks kinda small, possibly asuran. But I don't see the pet either Venom20 03:49, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Sylvari ranger is on the other side. That little guy is asuran. Also, where was this picture released? -~=Ϛρѧякγ (τѧιк) 03:56, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) What I believe to be a pet is easier to see here, together with what appears to be the end of a bow. I think sylvari are slightly smaller than humans, which would still make them far bigger than the asura. Erasculio 03:58, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- I got the link from twitter which I have on rss, but I think Regina posted to facebook first. -- Aspectacle 04:12, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- If you look here, you can see a slight color pattern. Now, if you note, the image furthest to the lower left is green, and the one highlighted in this image is of a darker color. Almost black, like this. So, as I posted here, and in more detail over there, I think it is an assassin-variant profession which we have seen in multiple places, such as the Static Field video and the linked concept art from the GDC slideshow. Though I do agree with Era that when taken out of context (:P) it is indeed looking like a ranger, but in context, taking that color scheme into play (the ele was rather dark pinkish and the warrior highlighted yellow (or I'm color blind)) I think it isn't a ranger. -- Konig/talk 04:21, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed, in that image it is somewhat blacker than the other silhouettes and that most of the other silhouettes have a hint of colour. Should be interesting to find out whether your hypothesis is true. I was hoping that they'd have two steps of the reveal like they did with the elementalist in the first round... -- Aspectacle 04:43, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Although it's much easier to see on the other picture, I still definitely see a pet in this. I'm not entirely sure this is an "rogue/assassin" but I know this is one of two pet professions, which also obviously includes the Ranger. Eive 08:48, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Do people think there is a posibility that this shows a split ranger profession? Both appear to weild bows, but the other is in a trapping position while this appears to own a pet. As with warrior it's also likely for multiple weid options. Going to be a very interesting reveal for sure. ,,"Klumpeet",, 09:24, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- I dont see a bow at all, i see a sword on its back. can someone circle this bow they keep seeing or something? - 74.171.163.219 11:17, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Look at this picture detail, ip. The bow starts at the top left corner and below it there's a pet tail. Chriskang 12:47, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- to be honest, you gotta know what your looking for in this image, i can see the bow in the guys hands, but i'm not seeing this pet people are talking about, though i can see it's claw? but then again i've always thought this guy had interesting hair :p --AlbinoAce 14:45, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Albino,... The left thingy sticking out; the supposed tail. Head-ish silhouette to the right of the profession's head; supposed HEAD :D of the pet. --Naoroji 14:52, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- so that's what it is, i just assumed that was part of the background XD --AlbinoAce 14:56, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- In case anybody's interested, here's more evidence of pets, bows and what look like spears, but that may be staves ,,"Klumpeet",, 16:04, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) There are no spears in GW2. --Sirrush 16:05, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- So what is that at the far right? ,,"Klumpeet",, 16:15, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Not a spear, it is CONCEPT art. --Odal talk 16:20, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Fair enough, but I did say it could be staves in the screenshot anyway. Do we have confirmation that the announced weapons are the only ones? ,,"Klumpeet",, 16:24, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
