Necro?[edit]

Looks like the outfit the female Necro wears in some of the skill videos. --Spigs 22:21, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

I'd say that's the "flavor" they're going for -- you can see a spider necklace and skulls, which are darker symbols. But all scholars can wear all light armor, so I don't think we can categorize it as that specifically. ...do like that bow in the back. And those stockings. <3 The girl is cheated though, no cool vials of what are no doubt exotic poisons and the like :p Ruse talk (talk) 22:35, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Not to be a partypooper or anything, but I definitely think some armors - such as ones like this - should be restrained to certain classes. Otherwise, no class would have that "feeling" of individuality that GW2 is aiming so hard for. --Spigs 22:47, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
I'm more of a "more choices the better" type person, though I can't see my elementalist ever wearing the whole set...I do really like those stockings ;) Mixing and matching armor sets within a profession was always fun for me in GW1, I'd like to see that expanded even further for GW2. Limiting choices does not necessary = a more unique feel. Skills/skill effects/playstyles will take care of that. If it makes you feel any better most people will probably stick within the themes anyhow I'm betting. Ruse talk (talk) 22:53, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
No class would, but every player would, in a way that class-restricted armor doesn't allow. -- ķ̌yǾshĺ User Kyoshi sig.png 00:35, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
That's a more succinct way of saying what I was trying to, lol. For instance I've seen people complaining about skimpy elementalist armor. I like it myself, but it would be good for those who didn't to be able to put some actual clothes on. :B Ruse talk (talk) 00:56, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
I understand the freedom of choices GW2 is going for. Especially with the armor types; I'm actually quite excited for it myself. I'm just worried about seeing every wanna-be punk/emo/"BadA"/l33t player running around as an Elementalist or <insert any other NON dark-themed profession here> wearing skulls and dying all armor pieces black like I'm sure a lot of people would have liked to do in GW1. But now that dyes aren't priced, hopefully Black won't be the "uber l33t" color of choice for every armor. I respect people who respect the roles of their profession. Without restrictions, I just hope people continue to stick with "profession roles" in GW2.
Forgive me for ranting. --Spigs 04:50, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
I don't think skulls and emos are as popular as you think; emos in particular are kind of a joke on the internet. Extreme dark and light colors are used a lot mostly because they go with everything more easily (or so I'm told). -- ķ̌yǾshĺ User Kyoshi sig.png 05:55, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
I think an emo ele would be hilarious. That said, I do agree with you on the whole black dye thing. It was typically a sign of someone with more platinum than (fashion) sense. Ruse talk (talk) 22:25, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
I know that I will not be the only person to be completely random with my armor. I will most likely (since I am now given the option) mix-and-match multiple types of armor and dye them various colours which looked terrible in GW1 due to how limited it was. So profession specific armor will not be a problem for me. EiveTalk 04:17, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
