I wonder if this would move if they put this in the game. o_o That would be very neat. They have mentioned a day/night system independent of Real life time, right? -- AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 23:20, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

They did, and I would assume that, if this is in the game, it would be an observatory in Orr. Would be lovely to see. And I wouldn't doubt it to be not unlike the one seen in Prince of Persia Sands of Time (which had a series of glowing orbs that rotated with four levers). -- Konig/talk 23:28, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Come to think of it, I wonder if this could solve the issue of the world being flat or a globe, along with what the solar system looks like. Now I want it to be in the game. -- Konig/talk 23:29, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Haha yeah, it does sound neat. What I think would be fun is if it moved in-sync with the world. For instance: The sun is setting where you are, so in the Orrery it shows where you are as beginning to face away from the sun. Of course, that would require a lot more time to orchestrate and design graphics-wise, but it would add sort of a feel of persistence, if that makes sense. :D -- AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 23:33, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
That doesn't really sound hard at all. If it moves in the first place, all it needs to do is to be programed to move at a specific rate which will equate to the day/night cycle, which we know will be shorter than 24 hours (that is, one full day and one full night is shorter than 24 hours). Wouldn't be too hard to figure out, to be honest. -- Konig/talk 23:37, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Well you're talking to a teenager who hates Mathematics xD sooo although I can imagine trying to program a system of equal day/night, such as having each day include 2-4 days or something of the sort, although that would then have to set up a new type of calendar for the game (however, they have not specified how many days in a year in Tyria, have they?) -- AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 23:41, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
There are 360 days every year - each season is nicely split into 90 days. It's in every game manual. -- Konig/talk 23:50, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Oooo cool! :D Thanks for the info ^_^ -- AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 00:06, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Somewhere on the internet I've heard/seen how big Tyria specifically, with the information on the cycle, size of Tyria and how many days TYria has we can put together a map that will show were places really are. Or do we need more information? --AdventurerPotatoe User A F K When Needed Potato icon.jpg - 07:08, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
