"Ankhified"?

I feel that an ankh draws too many correlations to the Monk, which the Guardian is certainly not, and draws away from a shield, which more accurately portrays what the Guardian does. Out of curiosity, who has the say on what icons the professions use, and where would the source files be found? —Proton 06:29, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

As you can see here, the ankh is really part of the guardian icon used in-game as well.

<agrees with Orrery> The ankh is on the profession selection screen, on the hero panel and in skill icons. (The thief on the other hand has a different icon on the hero panel - if you wanted a different thief icon you might convince me. :) It has been well received and an expected/wanted addition from other editors so I think it is set to stay. -- aspectacle  07:05, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Ankh color

Is currently transparent which makes the icon weird in front of a colored background (like this). I think I'd prefer a white ankh. Chriskang 23:34, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Tango requirements would not *really* allow a white ankh, but I suppose it's better than being transparent (on that orange-ish background, for instance). - Infinite - talk 00:05, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Any particular reason you picked this over the others (which look just as awful against that background colour)? :P If I was to fill it in what should I do about the ranger paw? I can put a border around the whole thing and fill it with white - the idea doesn't really appeal to me. A shield wouldn't be much good irl if it had a hole in, would it? I don't think it will look bad filled in white. —smøni 03:02, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

The difference between a shield and a pawprint is that gaps between the parts of a pawprint are expected and common. A space in the middle of a shield, particularly one with another floating piece of shield inside it, does not make as much sense. In addition, the ankh itself is relatively high-detail as opposed to the predictable blobs of a pawprint, which makes it vulnerable to poor contrasting colors. I think that it would be in the icon's best interest for the ankh to be colored white instead of being transparent. —Proton 02:50, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

Ankh form

Recently ankh was replaced with a new simbol (can be seen above, actually), and not only on this icon, e.g. check the Healing Breeze icon from the press beta. Could this get updated? Alfa-R 20:03, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
