Last on right ~ Mesmer ?? Bob soddoth 13:29, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

My thoughts exactly. Though all scholars will be able to use the same armor, that is totally made for Mesmers. --Emelend 13:39, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
Town clothes .. Unknown soldier proffesion...Warrior...Ranger... Mesmer .?? Bob soddoth 13:50, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
As was just stated, armors are not profession specific. Stop trying to guess based on looks. Anyway, "town clothes" better be wearable out in the field too. Other than that, I'm pleased to say that 3 of these 5 sets are things that might actually sensibly be worn out adventuring. I especially like the middle set with its fringed epaulets. Well done Arenanet. I'll let the miniskirts slide...this time. Arshay Duskbrow 14:06, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
ye apologies for stating profesions I meant that as .. Soldier, adventurer , scholar etc my bad Bob soddoth 14:18, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
@ Arshay even though there isnt profesion specific armor im pretty sure there will be armors designed for certain professions in each of the armor classes Victor6267 User Roaring Taco Black Moa Chick.png 00:03, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
my guess is it's 'class' specific, heavy armors for front liners like warriors, leather or medium armors for mid liners, such as ranger, and cloth for back liners such as eles and necros. Anet might be re-doing the game entirly, but they 'armor-level' system was never broken, so they're keeping aspects of it. (just my theocracy here) — Scythe 0:07, 30 Sep 2010 (UTC)
People, I must remind you again that there ARE profession-specific armors. By this, I mean there are armors that follow the SPECIFIC STYLE of a certain profession. However, this armor can be worn by anyone within their armor class. This does not, however, change the fact that there are indeed profession-specific styles. :) So yes, I think this indicates Mesmer, just as this indicates Elementalist, and this seems to represent the Necro. :) Does that sorta make sense now?
To reiterate... elementalist, necromancer, mesmer (my guess) :) --AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 00:34, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
In fact, this set of models aren't specifically town clothes, this one was to show how the default color for different materials looked like, so some of thm could very well be "combat clothes" instead of town clothes.Lokheit 13:03, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
I don't understand why people are talking about "town clothes". Neither that term, nor a technical difference in outfit types, have been mentioned anywhere yet. From the information we have, ALL outfits are cosmetic, with the stat bonuses actually coming from crests, and it's not as though Anet is going to force people to display either "town" or "field" clothes in certain areas and not in others. In other words, there seems to be no non-aesthetic distinction between "town clothes" and "armor". If there is one, I would assume it to be no different from GW1's "costumes", where a skin is applied over your still-functioning armor. Obviously this is speculation, though. Arshay Duskbrow 23:25, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
its mentioned in the source blog-postScythe 23:32, 30 Sep 2010 (UTC)
Damn you're right, I'd read that but forgotten. I stand corrected. But that just makes me more curious as to how it's all going to work. I wish she'd explained...it was such a good opportunity to clarify the clothing system and the differences between it and "armor". Arshay Duskbrow 23:41, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
I think its similar to how eles work. In combat, and after using skills their currently attuned elements blazes up around their hands. And outside of combat, it goes away. IMO, I think that is also how town cloths will work. — Scythe 0:02, 1 Oct 2010 (UTC)
Uh...okay... >_>;; Arshay Duskbrow 00:15, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
I was thinking it might work like the costumes in gw1 either that or theyll be the sets that have 4 dyable areas. Victor6267 User Roaring Taco Black Moa Chick.png 00:28, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
I think you will find that it is 3 Dyeable areas ^^ 94.4.29.220 10:38, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

Postures[edit]

Has anyone else noticed that they all stand in different postures? I wonder if they cycle through different stances every time players move the character, or whether it's tied to armor class. --Xu Davella 11:18, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

I think #2 and #4 share a posture. All the differences might be intentional, however, as that particular render was used in a blog post as a promo material of sorts (that's what I believe, anyways). Would still be nice, though. Mediggo 11:57, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Mesmerish armor on far right[edit]

is that set ingame? i cannot for the life of me find it anywhere. there is also the "kurzick" looking set that anet was showing off to us to illustrate the difference between gw1 and gw2 armor set remakes and rendering that i have to see aswell. Justice 06:36, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
It's the same armour, and not to my knowledge. Countess Anise is wearing the top.90.185.20.169 11:00, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
