Entrance to the maze is in the northeast corner. To reach the mark: right at the first junction, follow the wall around, left at the next (not the hero challenge dead-end), and a final right turn. A veteran risen giant and a veteran risen plaguebearer can be found near the end.
Alternatively the entire maze can be skipped with a Springer.
