Auric weapons are a set of level 80 FExotic weapons introduced in Heart of Thorns, which follow the visual theme of the Exalted. Acquiring these weapons is part of the Auric Weapons collection achievement, which is a prerequisite for the Luminate's Backplate сollection.

Acquisition

• Through crafting by Artificers, Huntsmen, and Weaponsmiths. The weapon recipes are all discoverable.
  • Each weapon requires an Orichalcum Imbued Inscription, Exalted Weapon Core, and two Oiled Orichalcum weapon components to craft (such as Oiled Orichalcum Shield Boss and Oiled Orichalcum Shield Backing).
  • You will need 110 Auric Ingots to craft all Exalted Weapon Cores.
  • Only some craftable Orichalcum Imbued Inscriptions will work for this recipe, see Exalted Weapon Core for specific information.
  • Recipes for the cores are purchased from Exalted Mastery Vendors.
  • The Luminate's Cache awarded halfway through the Auric Basin Reward Track allows the choice of one Exalted Weapon Core recipe. This reward track is not repeatable.

• PvP Reward Tracks and WvW Reward Tracks
  • Auric Basin Reward Track: In the Auric Weapon Crate awarded at track completion. This reward track is not repeatable.
  • Heart of Maguuma Reward Track: In the Auric Weapon Cache awarded at track completion. This reward track is repeatable.

• Dragon Response Missions
  • Purchasing them from Tactician Erlandson for Tyrian Defense Seals.

• You get a choice of one of three weapons depending on profession for completing the story mission City of Hope; available choices are listed here. This mission can be repeated on different characters to acquire more weapons.
  • To minimize the cost of acquiring these weapons, the ideal weapon choice from this mission, assuming 1 character of each profession, is:
    • Hammer, or Mace if Warrior has already chosen Hammer
    • Staff, or Sword if Elementalist or Necromancer has already chosen Staff ¹
    • Hammer, or Mace if Guardian has already chosen Hammer
    • Rifle
    • Longbow
    • Short Bow
    • Staff, or Scepter if Revenant or Necromancer has already chosen Staff ¹
    • Greatsword
    • Staff, or Axe if Revenant or Elementalist has already chosen Staff ¹
  • ¹: Between Revenant, Elementalist, and Necromancer, one can get Staff and 2 out of 3 of Sword, Scepter, and Axe, depending on player preference.
