Maturity

Players can easily pack up more than 70% conditions duration reduction with food. Too bad i thought that since designers did put conditions in this game, it was so that we could use it... Now tell me, where is the 70+ % damages reduction with 40% just from the food ? Cheap design weekend

Bumped into a duo thiefs roam, despite what anet think they know about their own stuff, the duo managed to stay stealthed while attacking (i was busy spaming the 3 short invul i had, then took a look once in a nearby keep at the dmg history of the console only to amazingly discover that my health drop wasnt matching at all the dmgs recorded...). This morning we resisted a siege from JQ that had 4 times our numbers. No supply, no reinforcements, no walls no-nothing. And we drived them back to SMC. In my mind there are now 2 kinds of village idiots in wvw. The ones that flee with little bits of penises falling from their backside if they dont outnoumber you (JQ). Aside from that i am on holidays until the end of August after having fixed some bad code from other studios while in the middle of adding a skeleton/properties animation system that support transition on an infinite number of channels (except for switch-backs in which case you reuse the previous animation with the inverse of the current anim transition weight) to god knows what new game engine (it's unfortunately our specialty to rewrite the shit of others in half the time they had to poop it because they usually call us too late) :) By the way did you know that on IOS you can crop+scale to fit a view without even copying a sub region of an image and without even using transform matrices for 1/1000 of the cpu cost ? Gw2 designs nightmares

To start with, i am the only one who try to defend the keep in EOTM. Because designers did so much of a good job that each realm is only interested in karma, wich is not a problem if your realm can queue all 4 maps all the time, but becomes one if your realm got only 20/35 players on the map . Then when, alone, i succeed by miracle with a lot of effort to build just in time the right siege engine at the right locations (supply depots and keeps in general have no usefull locations, because anet started from the principle that every realm would be full of players to ease the task, wich is contradictory with the current performances of the game engine by the way), i remember that cows are limited to 20 players against map blobs who easily carry 2500 supplies with them. Then if by miracle i still succeed to somewhat emped that, i remember that gw2 designers made it so a map blob melt reinforced doors in 12.5 secs top WITHOUT siege engines. Then if just turning a siege weapon by a few degrees could save the day, i remember that by the time the game allow me to aim (you want one tick on the left, anet wooden game engine give it 3 ticks on the left, then do not respond when you want to correct, then do 6 ticks on the right, then after a lot of thinking the weapon suicide itself, wich is particulalry blattant with mortar skill 5 that is still not debugged by anet staff after one year) the enemy got enough time to go to a picnic, get back, put a finger in your ass and pinch your nose, go see a movie, and go 6 times around the keep. I know of a famous Lion with reknown superior skills who have been captured on video challenging packs of 20 hyennas and is regularly able to kill 4 of them per run (read: territory supremacy), but it seems to have vanished in the "This video have been removed due to copyright blah blha" list. Then comes Black Jack.

Black Jack is going to own you like no one else before because:
- He did adapt to your metas
- Equiped gear, skills and traits against which, thanks to these metas, you are worse than defenseless: you are an attractive target
- The more the immune system react, the more it self destruct in Black Jack's favor
- On top of that, you are doing the initial hard work for him

GW1 skills

I reviewed all the new contents that were added over the course of gw2 life and could not help but think that new content in gw1 really meant something in comparison to gw2. But that was because you had new skills to fine tune through the skill points, and because you could save those builds to later reload them for challenging areas like the DOA in hard mode. In gw2 new content doesnt mean as much as in gw1, excepted for the gliding thing maybe. That said i would point out in favor of gw2 that grouping is fantasticly easier than in gw1. The action camera, when you get used to it, is also a nice addition. But when you have to click 6 times on a target to acquire it, even on fiber connection, because you live on the other side of the atlantic, it doesnt change much whether you are in action camera mode or not... (i'm talking of wvw). The same goes for when you want to cancel current target so that you can leap in a direction: clic 6 times in teh void so that the game will eventually figure something out.
