About my revert to Skill.jpg. I should've said that gw2 skill icons are not square. Instead I put a slightly rude summary, for reasons unknown. I hope this makes up for it. - Infinite - talk 19:37, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

Oh. No problem :]. —Proton 19:46, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

Before making [[Template:About|redundant]] templates.[edit]

Check to make sure that they are not already on this wiki in some form. Aqua (T|C) 21:16, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

I am completely aware that {{otheruses}} already existed. However, {{about}} is more flexible, and I thought I'd take a good idea from Wikipedia. —Proton 21:18, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
This is where I make the tactful yet forceful request that you stop making pointless and/or redundant templates by copying straight from Wikipedia. In the immortal words of several other wiki editors: "We are not wikipedia." Aqua (T|C) 21:32, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
I do not see these templates as being pointless, though {{about}} may be considered redundant. Whether they are copied from Wikipedia or not, they are completely valid. —Proton 21:35, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
Please stop maikng pointless Wikipedia templates here, thanks. 87.97.125.244 21:36, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) Not when they are unnecessary or redundant. At that point, it goes from being helpful to just making templates for making templates sake which helps a grand total of no one. Aqua (T|C) 21:37, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
These redundant templates are getting a bit out of hand, especially as you've been advised against it. --User Oneshot O.JPGneshot. 21:42, 21 March 2011.
Okay, then please define for me "redundant". Just because something can be manually typed out means that a template is unnecessary? Yeah, let's toss out Warrior icon small.png and Necromancer icon small.png and Any tango icon 20px.png and {{tl}} and {{otheruses}}, because all of those can be typed out manually; having templates for them is redundant. Current opposition to my changes is completely subjective; if you draw an objective line, then I would be willing to abide by it. —Proton 21:45, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
Hi, I'm redundant!
Those templates actually have useful purposes, unlike the ones you're adding. On a side note, you are putting these templates into effect for your own benefit and not considering what other users want, you realise that? --User Oneshot O.JPGneshot. 21:52, 21 March 2011.

(Reset indent) I am quite certain that the purpose of the {{tl}} template is to make it so that you don't have to type out <nowiki>[[SomeTemplate]]</nowiki>. It's a useful template because it saves time and keeps things consistent. The purpose of the {{tlx}} template is just the same, but supports the inclusion of parameters for demonstrating how to use a template in its documentation. This is not redundant, it is completely useful, and I feel that it is not solely for my benefit. —Proton 21:56, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

You looked at {{tl}} right? You can put parameter names in it. --JonTheMon 21:58, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
{{test|one|two|three|four|y}}. Well. Derp. —Proton 22:04, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
It also provides an active link to the template, unlike the nowiki tags. You really need to consider your arguments before you hit the save page button, you are making yourself look foolish which doesn't help your case at all. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 01:17, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
The exact details of {{tl}} are a minor detail that was beside the point. —Proton 01:20, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
Just a personal warning, which you may interpret in whatever way you like: If you keep messing with the templates, you will have me watching over every single of your edits.. poke | talk 09:50, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
Italicize your name when you say something like that, Poke :P j/k(Xu Davella 10:00, 22 March 2011 (UTC))
I am already aware that someone is watching everything, Poke. —Proton 16:16, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
Yes Proton, but I can assure that you do not want one of those someones to be Poke. Aqua (T|C) 02:36, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure how you and poke intended your comments to sound, but to me they seem a little threatening. Proton is trying to be bold, yet he's still discussing people's concerns when they arise. There's nothing wrong with that. I don't think that merits intimidating comments with the apparent aim of stopping his editing. While it's a core concept that wikis are collaborative (i.e. you make an edit, and there are others around to improve or add to that), these comments sound more like "I'm watching you" in the not-very-nice way. pling User Pling sig.png 17:15, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
Pling, this entire conversation arose when he was *ignoring* the discussion about not making useless templates. Aqua (T|C) 17:18, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

Traits[edit]

There's already another discussion going on about the trait tables: Template talk:Trait table --JonTheMon 02:01, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Hello just a friendly reminder all ICONS must be .png and follow a specific format "Game icon images (skill icons, item icons, trait icons, map icons, etc.) should:
