This talk page shouldn't have a red link[edit]

Hey Kulgin, thanks for updating those mastery points with their dialogue.

Just letting you know that I removed the edit you did to Burn an Essence of Fire Magic as Rodgort I: The Experimental Torch was already linked to in two locations surrounding the template you tossed in, and the nav at the bottom carried the same information. We're wanting to avoid too much over-linking on small pages like that ; ). G R E E N E R 16:13, 21 September 2017 (UTC)

Ah ok! Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it! P.S. still trying to get better at Wiki contributions so I can help make the game better for everyone - Kulgin
Well, see now you're just trying to get on my good side ; ). Keep up the work, and thanks for helping others! G R E E N E R 22:59, 21 September 2017 (UTC)
Hey Greener, this new page I created didn't seem to get linked from the Desert Highlands achievements, any ideas? https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Carrot_Collector_(achievement) The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kulgin (talkcontribs) at 20:02, 26 September 2017‎ (UTC).
That's because the name of the achievement is just "Carrot Collector", not "Carrot Collector (achievement)". We only put (achievement) in achievement page names if there's something else with the same name, and that's not the case here. I've already fixed it for you and set up a table for a walkthrough for you if you wish to continue adding on to that page. Cheers! - Doodleplex 20:11, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
Ah! Perfect! Thanks a bunch Doodleplex! (Kulgin (talk) 20:41, 26 September 2017 (UTC))
Edit: It actually doesn't look like a blue link from Desert_Highlands_(achievements) still to the Carrot Collector page. Thoughts? (Kulgin (talk) 20:44, 26 September 2017 (UTC))
Ah, my apologies, I thought you meant the template on the guide's page wasn't working. By default the template used on achievement-overview-page-thing don't create links to achievement's name, as many of them do not need a separate page with a guide, and so if a guide is made, the page needs to be added in manually with "| page = <page's name>" going under "| name = <achievement's name>", which I've added in for you. Also one additional tip: feel free to use other user's talk pages directly to ask questions, as users are more likely to notice their own talk pages than yours. There's also Help:Ask a wiki question if you just have a general questions about why stuff may or may not be working right. =) - Doodleplex 20:56, 26 September 2017 (UTC)

Deleting Files[edit]

Anyone know how to delete a file? I had uploaded a screenshot as a png file, but it needs to be a jpg. I have the new jpg, but get a warning about uploading a file with a similar name, so I just want to delete it. Here is the file https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Desert_Highlands_Insight-_Brightwater_Hollow.png --Kulgin (talk) 18:14, 27 September 2017 (UTC)

Hi there, again, heh. Regular users cannot delete files, but they can tag files for deletion using the {{Delete}} template; for example, if you wanted to tag the file you listed, you would type {{Delete|<reason why you want it deleted>}}. Once tagged, a sysop (think administrator) will delete it. —Ventriloquist 18:19, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
Fantastic info, thanks a bunch! --Kulgin (talk) 18:21, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
