No speculation please. Unless its confirmed, it doesn't belong on the wiki (or atleast not on the mainspace). Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 06:30, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

We are to document the game not cover up Anet's leaks? --Unending fear 18:25, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
You may believe that, but this sight is owned by Anet. Then it's just common curtsey :) --Naut User Naut Dark Blue Monk.png 18:29, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Unending, Regina asked by herself to not document the leaked content. How hard is it to wait a couple of days with documenting? Its also official then, after all.. -- Cyan User Cyan Light sig.jpg 18:31, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Seem like Anet used many of Knighthonor's ideas[edit]

I seem many of Knighthonor's ideas were used for the guardian class. --Knighthonor 20:53, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

Recent Activity[edit]

Some concerns have been raised regarding your contribution style, found here. Reviewing a few of your contributions, things do seem to be in good faith. I have some advice to help you in your contributing in the future and become more of an asset to the wiki.

  • Tagging images - Almost every one of your uploads have to be tagged or re-tagged. To do this correctly, see Template:ArenaNet image.
  • Editing articles - Do not participate in revert wars. If you are unsure of a reason why someone reverted you, ask on the article's talk page. Someone will respond and you do not take the risk of being banned.

If you have any questions regarding this, let me know. Thanks — Gares 14:37, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

references[edit]

Hey; long time no see on the wiki! Regarding your edit to the airship article, instead of directly quoting the source and putting a link in the references section, you should paraphrase the information and add the reference tag right after the new info. Paraphrasing instead of quoting isn't required, per se, but it helps condense information. The reference tags should be used, though. Here's how to use them if you're not sure: <ref>[link article_name], source</ref>-- Shew 04:35, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

deletion[edit]

If you disagree with a deletion tag, don't just remove it. Explain on the talk page why you oppose the deletion. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 02:16, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

signet note[edit]

That was completely unnecessary. Because it's a characteristic of all signets, it's documented on signet and should not be duplicated on every individual signet page. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 13:51, 6 February 2013 (UTC)

well actually some people dont know that which is why its noted.--Knighthonor 19:56, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
People obviously don't know how to read either--Relyk ~ talk > 20:00, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
Well not everybody is going to know how to read and navigate a Wikipage. thats why info is placed on the page about different skills in the case they look that skill up. doesnt hurt. its only a single line of info that is very useful to know, as in one of the talk pages a member didnt know that the passive stops on cooldown. Info like that is useful on the page of the skill they looking for especially if they dont know that Signets are a universal mechanic and not just a mechanic to an individual class.--Knighthonor 20:08, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
Anyone should be able to understand the hierarchical structure of information we employ here. Information that pertains to everything within a certain class of things (like signets, or runes, or hammers, or whatever) is documented only once, on that high-level page. This information is not duplicated on every single page for the members of that class - e.g. we don't specify on every rune page that they can only be applied to armor, nor do we point out on each individual hammer that it can only be wielded by guardians and warriors. In the same manner, we should not have to repeat information about the general mechanics of signets on every signet page. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 20:20, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
Again, and will leave it after this. Not everybody that comes here know this info on signets as you can see from the talk page of the signets. And not everybody knows how to edit or even navigate a wiki page. Lots of people are new to the game and may have googled the skill and found the page and have questions about what could be going on, like one of the users here that didnt know the passive ends when on cooldown. Stuff like that doent hurt the page. it actually makes it better. them a quality wiki, details info on each page. doesnt hurt. And does more helping. I am not going to argue with you or anybody else here on the subject anymore. --Knighthonor 20:26, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
They'll have to learn about skill types at some point, the game sure as hell won't tell them.--Relyk ~ talk > 22:22, 6 February 2013 (UTC)

a Forum[edit]

moved from Guild Wars 2 Wiki:Admin noticeboard

I suggest this site gets a forum for discussing the editing and things needed. Other good Wikias have forums for discussing editing etc.--Knighthonor 20:16, 6 February 2013 (UTC)

Why would we have a forum when we have talk pages. O_o - Yandere Talk to me... 22:00, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
Forums were actually one of the reasons GuildWiki left Wikia. Wikis don't need "features" like that. Felix Omni Signature.png 22:57, 6 February 2013 (UTC)

MMO terms[edit]

Quick Question[edit]

First a heads up: when you're creating a new section on a talk page, you want to use a Level 2 header aka ==, using only one "=" makes it the same size as the page's header, which isn't desirable. Anyway where did you see SYN-7001? There's nothing there so it's kinda of hard to get any more information about it, so if you could add at least where you saw it, that would be super helpful. - Doodleplex 21:05, 1 July 2018 (UTC)

Vorak who?[edit]

I was curious the Vorak page you made, since the page itself is just a one line sentence and lacking a category, and long story made short, the only way I found out who they were is due to the fact the page was deleted before. I thought I'd give you a heads up as a result: when making NPC pages, the wiki decided that if an NPC only show up once as a name on something like a tombstone, a book, etc., it's not enough to warrant making a page for. Also, thanks for answering the question about the golem above on the NPC's talk page, it'll help others and myself track down info about it. Cheers! - Doodleplex 22:44, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

To elaborate some more - the reason why we don't document such NPCs is because most of the time, the content of the article is quite... barren. It's hard to write more than a sentence about an NPC that appears only in a single throwaway line on a tombstone or such, and as such, when it is created as an article, it won't hold a lot of value because it's kind of the same information from the tombstone, only created as a separate article. We do, however, document NPCs that are not seen in-game and hold significant historical value, such as Khan-Ur. Hopefully our reasoning is a bit clearer now. —Ventriloquist 07:53, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

Recon Cove[edit]

Why did you completely undo all the changes I made to Recon Cove? It's one thing if you felt the article needed a full walkthrough instead of a summary, but you even removed the achievements section! That needed to be there. —Idris User Idris signature.png 14:37, 19 September 2019 (UTC)

And I just noticed you removed the nav too! You just straight-up reverted it to a less-complete version of itself. What the hell. —Idris User Idris signature.png 14:43, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
I only fixed the image which wasnt showing --Knighthonor (talk) 21:03, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
Yeah looking at the edit, I dont know how it made that jump but something is off about the history. I just changed the image file to the proper file name since this file was moved File:ReconCoveTrees.jpg. thats all. no idea why that other stuff was removed. I edited this 14:06, 18 September 2019 by DBZVelena --Knighthonor (talk) 21:10, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
Ahhh, I see what happened. You edited an old revision, which reverted the page back to that version, plus your small change. Easy enough mistake to make if you don't realise the wiki works this way. :) Sorry for getting annoyed with you. In future, take care only to click on the edit button while looking at the current revision, unless your goal is to revert.
So am I correct in thinking that you're okay with the shorter walkthrough I wrote? Would you mind if I put it back? The "full" walkthrough is on the achievement page, so I feel like the poi only needs a summary. —Idris User Idris signature.png 21:19, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
yeah do your thing--Knighthonor (talk) 09:07, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
