I am here from GW-Wiki. Those back there may know me for my impulsiveness, shamelessly bashing Arenanet developers for making decisions that are either bad for the game, or suck at storytelling, and making varyingly long suggestions in the old feedback portal.
Once a trailer asked me what my story is: Well, the obvious question is which one out of the premade characters are you? Well, fuck this, I'll make my own. Also, I group them into an adventurer party titled "The Outcasts".
The Outcasts
Donovan Phed - combat Engineer Story: Chronologically he is the last to arrive to Tyria, he is originated from another timeline, where the War in Kryta was won by a reformed group of mursaat. As such, he has a profound distaste for the pomp and petty rivalries that infest the court of the queen, and views royalists as traitors. He arrived to the timeline due to a crystal portal malfunctioning, while exploring wondrous realms formed from the energies of crystals that rained onto Ascalon. He was found in the Maguuma jungle by the leader of the Outcasts, a sylvary ranger by the name of Erediel Arno, who was set out to capture him and his exotic firearm - an oval shaped rifle which spewed forth jagged crystalline shards very quickly and rapidly - for a renegade asura. Unwilling to ambush the man, the sylvary approached him peacefully, and the two conversed. They were interrupted when the asura opened a portal and arrived with her host of golems, wounded the ranger - telling him that he outlived his usefulness - and demanded Donovan's gun. Donovan and Erediel then joined forces, and managed to cripple her golem control network, but the sylvari's wounds slowed them down - his right leg was broken. While hiding in a jungle, Erediel invited him into his adventurer group as an engineer - a craft he couldn't actively pursue as a soldier until serving another six months - which he eagerly accepted. Then, after the ranger recovered himself, the two left the jungle in peace, and headed east along the northern krytan shoreline. In their journey, Donovan learned much about the state of Tyria, and was saddened by the slowly diminishing role humanity played in shaping the future. In these moments of weakness, the sylvary gave him encouragement, and before parting with Erediel, he promised to survive and find his calling in Divinity's Reach. The two finally parted in Loamhurst, where Donovan shod his old gear and bought an outfit that truly fitted an engineer, along with arms that attracted much less attention, and left Erediel to take the strange items into the Outcasts' hideout.
Erediel Arno "Night Stalker" Starts out as a Drizzt clone, but becomes better.
