My alias is Akbaroth, been using it ever since i first started online gaming. Many people call my Ak. In almost any mmo i refuse to play non-casters, which royally sucked because in most mmos, mages cannot solo, and if we try to go all out with our nuking, we over aggro and get disintegrated in 2 seconds flat. Then i discovered Guild wars, on recommendation from a friend, i never left. Combat was a little dull, but outside of that gw was perfect for me.

I have been playing gw since shortly before factions came out. i used to focus on being a healer, i quickly got a reputation as the best healer in ANY guild i joined. but after i discovered the joys of blowing shit up i never went back. nowadays i work on getting closer to God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals, and filling my Hall of Monuments, to be sure i get EVERYTHING it has to offer, even if the rewards are useless. I also spend far too much time hitting the refresh button on guildwars2.com to check for news. >_<

[edit] Guild Wars

I only play my ele, i have 9 characters, with 1 spare slot i use just for fucking around with. most of my characters i only use for birthday presents, but 2 of them i made specifically as mules, and one i converted into a mule.

My ele is working on maxing titles for gwamm, and filling his HoM. my belief is that the you will only get rewards for putting enough into each display so that it wont show any more. (20 for devotion, 5 for fellowship, 5 for honor, 5 for resilience, and 11 for valor) Currently i have 20 items in devotion. The only thing i DON'T have for fellowship is Black Widow. I have... a lot of things for honor. 4 items in resilience, only one of my alts has any elite armor, and it's the same thing as one of the eles armors, so it doesn't count for extra. And i have a (drumroll plz?ktnxbai) ONE item in valor :D WOOOHOOO! tormented staff. Well... i also have destroyer staff so it also takes up the same slot.

i think i'm forgetting something... i like to blow things up...

...

i may play other races/professions to get an idea of their story

[edit] Thoughts on the playable races

I have always loved the charr ideas of honor, ambush and trickery is as honorable as a fair fight. Yes i know that means my enemies can also use such tactics against me. I don't like the charr's belief in their right to dominance. So I'm something of an outcast in charr society. I am a member of the Iron Legion. I work on designing new models for explosives, and siege weaponry. Many of my people question my heavy use of magic in my work, but few try to deny its effectiveness, and even fewer deny its effectiveness and get away without being used as test dummies.

The asura... annoying egomaniacs who can't get along with anybody, usually. I can't deny their intellect in the magical arts, but they always underestimate the knowledge of the other races. They mistrust anybody and value everyone else's lives as barely more than tools, without even the slightest care for their rights or safety. I've had to work with asura several times so I'm used to their egos and their tempers, but i will not tolerate open insults. Their size means I can put the same power in a spell, but concentrate it in a smaller area.

The humans. I have always approved of their ability to work with others, they are resourceful, and much to my comrades chagrin, they have my respect. The creators specifically stated at one point a few years back, that if even one of the charr legions made the Far Shiverpeaks their top priority, the norn would be extinct in days, and yet the humans have still eluded us for all these centuries. Now why might that be.... If I could just get my latest model for Siege Devourer shots a little lighter, they may just reach far enough to slowly blast the ground out from underneath Ebonhawke...

The norn. I do not like the norn. They disapprove of working together, they refuse the concept of strength in numbers simply because it is more heroic to fight alone. Ignorant fools. Where is the glory in being dead? They are simple minded creatures. They fall into the most obvious traps, either because they were too stupid to see it, or as is more likely, too arrogant to believe they could be taken down by the leavings of a long gone foe. Their size makes them easy to hit. Their height makes them easy to knockdown, and their weight makes the fall that much harder.

The sylvari. So new, the possibilities with them are vast. I have much curiosity over them. Are their bodies more plant like? or more animal. do they truly need sunlight? or is that just an emotional preference. I wonder... their dream sounds like some sort of psychic bond... with a sort of hub system... if so, then if you get enough mesmers together, with enough sylvari together (to strengthen the connection) could you send a shock down that meta-physical connection to damage their dream? they often speak of emerging from the dream when they are born. If we used this, could we kill them before they are alive?

[edit] Thoughts on the Six Gods

I would like to personally point out that we charr have known about at least some gods since times long before we met the humans. We simply do not approve of begging for help. These "gods" are more powerful then we are, and therefore a threat in most of our peoples eyes. Myself... i believe that if they truly did create us, it is unlikely they want to stand in our way. I want peace between the intelligent races, even with the centaurs, grawl, hylek, skritt... and so on. (though i still refuse to accept that those last 3 are intelligent). So i don't want problems with these gods, but if they get in our way... i will simply have to redesign some of my weapons. The ascension of Kormir, and Dhuum's recent attempt at breakout, both around 250 years ago, are proof that gods are not infallible. Though, i suppose the humans responsible may have had some 'divine' assistance, it is hard to be sure. As much as i hate to admit it, we may have to cooperate with the Fla-... the Gold Legion if the gods do stand against us.

I'm present much more over here[1].
