Walkthrough[edit]

Enemies must be under the effects of Toxic Corruption. The effect can be found on certain veteran and champion foes. These foes only have a chance of being infected and the duration before they are infected can take a few seconds to minutes. The foes also must be part of a dynamic event, normal veterans and champions in the open world are not affected. Killing a creature under the effects of Toxic Corruption will spawn a Toxic Seedling giving 1 Pristine Toxic Spore Sample. This is useful for people trying to complete Toxic Spore Sampler at the same time.

The Defeat the Toxic Alliance champion event always spawns a creature under the effects and can be found in Kessex Hills around the tower. An efficient method for farming enemies with Toxic Corruption is the Champion Rotting Ancient Oakheart as part of the Defeat the champion rotting ancient oakheart event. This event has a 10 minute respawn timer and players can guest to multiple worlds to speed up the kills. Queensdale is a popular farming spot for champion trains and most groups are willing to wait for the effect to appear before killing it. Players can also refer to the Borderlands as dynamic events such as Kill the veteran wurm will be under the effects with multiple accessible at once.

Locations[edit]

Foes with the effect are usually limited to zones surrounding Kessex Hills and the Borderlands. These zones include:

Foes with the effect may also spawn in remote zones, such as Frostgorge Sound. It is unknown if such an appearance is as frequent or is the result of a bug.
