Welcome to Dewclaw Village on Ironhead Lake. Or as I call it, Flame-Legion-Won't-Stop-Bothering-Us Village on Watch-Out-For-Skale Lake.

Clever.

I like to be up front. Don't expect a relaxing time here. It's been a long time since this place was anywhere you'd want to visit.

What was it like?

A while ago, this water used to be deeper and the lakes were more connected. Iron ore was starting to see more use, and there were good deposits up here. Ore and supplies would be sent upriver on boats.

This lake here?

Like I said, it was a little bigger. This little village was the main dock, where the ore was loaded. That's why this lake's called Ironhead. That, or the armored fish. I've never been exactly sure.

We'll probably never know.

You may have noticed a cauldron just to the north of here. What you may not have realized is what a grand role it played in the history of the region. It was the very same cauldron that wiped out Ascalon many years ago.
