Talk:Z-axis
From Guild Wars 2 Wiki
Is this something that's really in the scope of the GW2W? While we're at it, we could also put in a little something about physics, and how gravity pulls arrows downward causing an arc when shot upwards. I think once the game comes out, under controls and gameplay or something we can make a mention of how the game is in 3 dimensions I suppose, but we don't really need the history that GW1 didn't really do this that well, but it's improved on in GW2... - I think it's rather significant because of how it's ignored in GW1, though the article doesn't reflect that as much. -- Armond Warblade

- I agree although it doesent bother me much it is significant to mention. As to your coment about physics do you mean projectile attacks, which have increased range and damage while the attacker has the height advantage, and decreased range and damage while target has the height advantage.--Demonthorn

this is going to make the game better i hope....it could also hurt the game i think by it being to much like WoW and other games like that...i have no problem with OGW not having it i think its more about tactics and how you use your skills....with the z-axis its going to be people jumping around everywhere and not very fun if they are just being idiots--FrekyElf 18:33, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- This will add an increased difficulty for projectiles to hit targets if you jump around. Hopefully they don't make it so the projectiles are like heat seeking like how they are on WoW. Other than that this will make the game a little more fun because being a former WoW player, being able to jump and swim was a good way for PvP to have more fun specially when jumping off cliffs. PvP on WoW compared to GW is better in my opinion, other than that having Z-axis will be a great addition to the game. Have fun with projectiles lol. --Hellbringer(T/C) 20:17, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
- i dont want an increased difficulty >.< i think jumping and swimming and all that stuff would be fun but i dont want it to be extremely hard to kill something because its hopping around everywhere.--FrekyElf 17:25, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- That's my fear, too... Monks always hopping around and shit. Homing Arrow Rangers ftl. ---

- not just monks but say if u were pvping....the other person just running around everywhere jumping and you can't do anything....there should be a couple skills for each profession to stop that somehow--FrekyElf 17:24, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

- This is probably where ANET is stuck with doing. Hopefully they don't make it too challenging. --Hellbringer(T/C) 18:46, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
