Came from a magazine, I think. Lord Belar 21:06, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

What seems like a speculation? you can see him in the tarnished coast next to the tree from wich the sylvari come from ... PLZ CLICK HERE ^Teo^ 22:05, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

mhm. Movement of the World -> PCGamer article -> Info from ANet. Calor (t) 03:49, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
This is right, the information is mentioned everywhere in the game. Though i do think that this should just link to the GW1 article. Farwind 20:39, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

I think there is a bit more we can add to this page already. I was thinking along the lines of; "Ventari is the centaur who planted the seed that gave birth to the Sylvari, after escaping from the violence engulfing Tyria with the human named Ronan. It was in "Arbor Bay" where he planted it and before he died he made the Ventari Tablet which outlined his thoughts and morals. After Ventari died the first Sylvari was spawned, who found the tablet and carried on the beliefs it contained.". What do you all think? Veltas Vandegere 20:52, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

I expanded the article. I think now it has enough gw2 background info to justify it's own page. -- Konig Des Todes 20:53, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Looks good. Cress Arvein User Cress Arvein sig.JPG 01:13, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Why hasn't anyone but a picture of Ventari up? Zachariah Zuan. 15:15, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Right[edit]

I fully agree with Zachariah Zuan, which is why I linked an image of Ventari. It was up for deletion, don't know why. Any complaints, let me know. --Naoroji User Naoroji Sigavatar.jpg 14:38, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

I was under the impression we don't use GW1 pics for articles here...? I'm alright with it for now, but I say we should get more GW1 pics in here if this page is alright. Eive Talk Windgrace 20:35, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
As far as I know, we only use GW1 pictures for characters (who wont be found in GW2) and other such things that cannot be found in GW2. --AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 21:41, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, Ventari dies quite a while before GW2 starts. If by some chance, a picture of him arises in GW2, then we can change it. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 22:08, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

Date of death[edit]

Let it be noted that yes, The Movement of the World says that Ventari died in 1165, but evidently somewhere Ghosts of Ascalon says 1180. I assume by the lack of prior discussion here that we are letting GoA override TMotW. Redshift 04:39, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

As GoA is newer, yes it takes precedence. Not that a lot of things have changed from the Movement - the time Zhaitan and Jormag rose are switched, for instance. Likewise, the sylvari are older according to the Movement. Konig/talk 04:41, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
As it happens and as was figured; just thought it'd be good to note in the discussion. Redshift 04:44, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

In the Dream[edit]

http://thetyrians.enjin.com/gallery/m/4471030/detail/58125#pid=732195 Umm..I tried for about an hour to find out how to get picture on site. Uber Failed. So, I will let experts do it. My apologies CaptainSeyo 16:12, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Wrong date listed for firstborn[edit]

The article says (near the end) that the firstborn first appeared 23 years ago. I was under the impression the Sylvari first appeared 25 years ago. I think Trahern even says something about being 25 years old, and he's secondborn. Which is correct? Wouldn't a date be better, as that would be correct regardless of how time changes in GW2? Or perhaps the number of years after Ventari's death would be more appropriate, as it is an article on him. 110.174.243.167 17:32, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Trahearne is firstborn - first of the firstborn, no less. And it is 23 years per the Timeline. ANet loves to generalize and estimate dates, hence the repeated use of 25 years. Konig/talk 20:20, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
