I forget where all, but it's been mentioned TONS of times. Dungeon equips aren't obtained in the dungeon, but instead, you obtain tokens when you complete the dungeon, and you can exchange them for whichever equip you want... so you don't waste your time getting stuff you don't want, leading to more farming just to get nowhere except the one item you want... all over official dungeon pages ~~ User Kiomadoushi sig.png Kiomadoushi 02:51, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
I too remember this being stated at least once. Although I'm pressed for time right now and can't dig up an actual source. I'll see if I can find one later. Aqua (T|C) 03:09, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
The tokens are old news. "ArenaNet is once again going against the flow when it comes to dungeon rewards: every time you run a dungeon, you are guaranteed to get a piece of armor meant for your class via a token system." Though the TotalBiscuit video from the previous beta makes it look like a single weapon is going to take a few runs to earn enough tokens for. Soulbound?[edit]

Is it known whether or not tokens become soulbound once recieved? Or are we able to sell/buy them? Shanksy 20:10, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

They are soulbound. Most of them. Except Mystic Coin. Anraiki 05:33, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Mystic Coin[edit]

Anyone agree they are consider as token? If not, someone revert my edit! Anraiki 05:33, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Badge of Honor[edit]

The page suggests that Badges of Honor can be bought with glory at glory fendors. However I've not been able to find any fendor selling. Can someone confirm this? Dagoh 17:56, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

Undocumented DR change on tokens[edit]

Hey guys, i was looking at the token pages and noticed that they haven't been updated with the recent changes. I saw a thread on the official forums. The original poster mentioned he cleared CoF p1 and 2 and then switched on his alt and redid the same paths and got no DR on the tokens for the runs he did on his alt, his consecutive runs (same 2 paths on 2 characters) netted him 240 tokens, a red post by Robert Hrouda confirmed it was a change in the "latest patch". The thread is this: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/DR-Diminished-Returns/first Can anyone confirm this and if possible update the token articles as they are now out of date as far as acquisition goes. Commendations[edit]

The variety of items you can buy with commendations from the Guild Commendation Trader makes them worthy of being considered a currency, similar to laurels, rather than dungeon tokens. This variety will likely be expanded in the future as well. (I also suggest there be a shortcut linking the keyword "commendation" to guild commendation (as long as there are no other types of commendations in the game). :) --Alad 07:45, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

Tokens are any physical items used as currency and there are Captain's Council Commendations.--Relyk ~ talk > 09:02, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
To expand on that: tokens are a physical currency equivalent. The subjects listed at currency are all intangibles, they have special storage mechanisms in the game to where they never appear in your inventory. Tokens do not have special storage mechanisms and appear as items in your inventory. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 15:38, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

Wallet update[edit]

Should we move the dungeon tokens, Badges of Honor and Guild Commendations to the Currency page, now that they aren't inventory items and they behave like other currencies? User Noxx Sig.png 17:33, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

Definitely - our definition of token is "items that are used like currency," so now that they're not items and actually currency, we can no longer call them tokens. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 17:36, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

Binding column[edit]

It would be useful to add a column called "Binding" or "Bound" to all the token tables here, with data such as "Account", "Soulbound" and "No" (or "—"). This will also help identify which of the tokens can possibly be found on the trading post. --Alad (talk) 18:05, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
