Stats[edit]

The stats listed is only one of the options available for this item. When you first attempt to use this item you are presented a menu of stats types available including Celestial, Raging, Cleric and many others. KJZ (talk) 13:42, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, that happened to all existing equipment with magic find. We can't update the wiki instantaneously. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:29, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

Wait--do you get to select the stats for newly crafted versions of this item? I thought that only applied if you already had one when the patch hit. If they're still craftable, and crafting one lets you choose the stats, that's very different... --Felbryn (talk) 22:05, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
I was able to when I made one a month or so ago. I haven't heard that that's changed. Sol Solus (talk) 00:03, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
I also made one long after the MF patch; got to choose my stats. 75.37.20.38 00:19, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Description[edit]

Is there a place for the flavor text? I was pleasantly surprised when I made one. Text is "First Edition. This book appears to be written in the author's own hand." 74.74.165.255 20:19, 2 October 2013 (UTC)

Someone removed it in an edit.--Relyk ~ talk < 22:41, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

How much Bloodstone Dust?[edit]

According to the 11/26 update all back items which require 1 condensed mist essence can now be forged with Bloodstone Dust, but when I try and add the items to the forge (40 crystals, 50 ecto, 250 vicious claws) it will darken Bloodstone Dust. Do they mean Bricks instead? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.35.179.247 (talkcontribs) at 19:43, 27 November 2013 (UTC).

I believe I saw someone on the forums complaining that the new bloodstone dust recipes only work for the back items with fixed stats, not the ones that used to give magic find and are now selectable. I wonder if ANet thinks that they removed the magic find recipes from the game back when they did the magic find change? --Felbryn (talk) 19:48, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
I don't have the items on me for testing, but if you put in crystals/ecto, do the vicious claws darken out? Or can you still put them in? What if you put in crystals/ecto/dust--can you put in the claws?
If you put the dust in, the claws darken, and if you put the claws in, the bloodstone dust darkens. BUT it allows dust, crystals/stones, and ecto...
Seems like the recipe was definitely removed, but I don't see any official notes about it from a quick google search. Rebani (talk) 06:19, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
I just checked it and the old recipe that uses the vial is still recognized but it definately seems that the bloodstone dust recipe doesn't exist for this one. Sounomi (talk) 18:44, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
The Quiver Of A Thousand Arrows doesn't work either, but the other quivers do. GOD DAMN ANET.
The update notes specifically stated that they added eight MF recipes using Bloodstone Dust for backpieces. Since there are currently 10 that use a Vial of Condensed Mists Essence, this is perfectly logical. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 22:56, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
The update notes specifically stated: "All of the ascended back-item pieces that required 1 Vial of Condensed Mists Essence can now be forged with Bloodstone Dust instead." Since this and the quiver of a thousand arrows both require 1 vial of condensed mists essence, then logically they should be able to be crafted using 250 Bloodstone Dust.
Read the next bullet underneath that. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 02:03, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
This is why I'm speculating that it may be a bug that There with Yakkington and Quiver of a Thousand Arrows are still craftable at all. The patch that reworked magic find stated that "Wayfarer" items were being entirely removed from the game, IIRC, and these used to have stats equivalent to a Wayfarer's suffix. --Felbryn (talk) 02:50, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
I agree with you, the continued validity of the MF recipes for these 2 items is probably an oversight. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 03:46, 30 November 2013 (UTC)

Feedback 2018/06/24[edit]

For some reason the icon in this article for the backpack isn't correct, I've been crafting this several times to confirm. Not sure what item the featured picture belongs to. 212.10.235.170 13:02, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

It uses the icon from Koss on Koss with the dude-with-an-affro icon right? I suspect previous editors have noticed the icon was wrong but didn't want to go to the effort of fixing it ;) thanks. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 15:19, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

Replaced by Koss on Koss?[edit]

I just tried to craft this with the recipe on the page - the result was it gave me an ascended version of Koss on Koss, and not There with Yakkington. Has this been removed from the game? Ehntu (talk) 06:52, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

The skin will always be the Koss on Koss one (and will unlock for the collection), can you confirm what item ID you get if you link it in chat (shift click the item, can /wiki it too). Also confirm what stats are on it, this one should be selectable while Koss is automatically always Soldier's --Dak393 (talk) 07:48, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
