Alternate approach with mounts.

With a springer and Springer Mastery 3 you don't need to glide. Get near the quest marker, jump up onto the roof and keep going up, it takes a couple of jumps. It might be doable with fewer jumps and with lower Mastery, but I just went for it to see and found I was on the marker.

Also, in the final message dialogue, Taimi talks about a Vinetooth being right behind you if you haven't killed it. I zipped past them on a jackal, evaded their spray-attack if I was being slow and only fought something that jumped up onto the mastery point that is right over one of Taimi's holograms when it leapt up after me. I suspect this is a LOT harder if you don't have mounts though.
