Ring of Fire link[edit]

The Ring of Fire Islands link needs to be updated to Ring of Fire Eerie Moss 08:18, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

Dwarves section...[edit]

It seems the racials sections (Asura, Charr, Norn and Sylvari) should not be under Dwarves section, but on the same level. -- Mistfire Wolf.png Leonim [talk·contribs] 21:32, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

I think this was how the original article was formatted, and generally for these types of pages we copy them verbatim. (It is a bit silly here, though...) pling User Pling sig.png 22:03, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Ok, strange indeed (I didn't even notice it first hand way back then), thank you for checking that. -- Mistfire Wolf.png Leonim [talk·contribs] 08:13, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

Western Shiverpeaks?[edit]

I know it can't be changed in the text, but Ebonhawke lies to the east of the Shiverpeaks. The 'eastern' part of the Shiverpeaks would lie to the west of Ebonhawke, not the 'western Shiverpeaks', which border Kryta. - Degine

Think "where the Blazeridge Mountains in the east merge with the Shiverpeaks in the west". You're right, it could be clearer. Eerie Moss 06:32, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
Shiverpeaks being in the west therefore they are the western Shiverpeaks. It's odd to us because when we look to the map, they are in the eastern half of Tyria. But the wording isn't that confusing. Konig/talk 10:47, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

Grammatical Error[edit]

"The fall of the Charr Shamans from their height as leaders effected [sic] more than the Gold Legion." is grammatically incorrect. Many people confuse the terms affected and effected, and in this case "affected" is the proper word. Why is editing not allowed at all on this page? I mean, at least for things like this, it'd be good. Grammar errors are highly unprofessional! Nokota (talk) 04:01, 27 January 2015 (UTC)

Did you see the notice at the top of the page? This is a verbatim copy of an article published by ArenaNet, and they hold the copyright on it. We as wiki editors don't have the authority to change anything on it. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 05:10, 27 January 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, I tend to just skip over italic texts at the top of pages. Sorry. It still strikes me as sad and a little pathetic that an "official" source such as this has so many typos and grammar issues. Since my statement, I've found no less than five more. Oh well. 75.68.21.72 23:13, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Feedback about year of death of Ventari 2017/12/19[edit]

Almost every article in wiki that refers to Ventari's death year said that Ventari passed away in 1180 AE, but in this article, the sylvari part writes "At last, old and gray, Ventari carved his life's lessons upon a marble tablet, which he placed at the base of the pale tree so that future travelers might read it and, perhaps, learn the ways of peace and harmony. Then, many years after his human companion had passed on, Ventari laid down beside the tree Ronan had planted, and died. The year was 1165 AE.", making a conflict. I hope the true year of Ventari's death can be confirmed. --120.85.87.61 18:02, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

Wrong link to Gunnar's Hold[edit]

Gunnar's Hold is mentioned as a Norn location (in fact, it was a town) in the preface. However, the link to it currently directs to the World article, which contains the list of player-available worlds (WvW regions) and has nothing common with mentioned location besides of borrowed name of one of the worlds. This is not an occasional mistake: if you look at the history of that article, which now is nothing but a redirect, you may see that initially it contained a small text about the corresponding location Gunnar's Hold in Guild Wars. However, when the redirection has been created, the link here has not been changed to Guild Wars Wiki. "Outsiders" like me cannot fix this. --109.252.109.37 10:59, 9 September 2018 (UTC)

Any logged in editor could change this, registering an account on the wiki is free. I've relinked it to gw1.
If you had been talking about making a page for Gunnar's Hold instead of a redirect, you just click on the "redirected from..." text at the top of the page, then press edit as usual. However we've previously discussed creating one liner gw1 pages and it wouldn't be of any benefit here. --Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 12:56, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
That's right, thank you! --109.252.109.37 18:19, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
