Not sure if it matters, but we got a guild group together to do this. We killed the undead champion 3 times while having one person sit with Lionguard Jenny to defend her. As soon as the Champion died the third time Jenny took off running. 108.67.69.0 20:49, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

Did the ending loop - surprise surprise - 3 times a couple of minutes ago. The NPCs swam away after the Champion was killed the third time. We might be onto something here. 94.254.80.245 22:03, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

German guild wars wiki helped a lot here. Jenny must be alive and at here normal position (so NOT in fight!) when the Champion dies and the event ends. We did it a lot of times, but only when we managed that, Jenny ran away and left the island. It is pretty hard to be sure to accomplish that because undeads spawn next to her. We minimalized the chance of her being in combat by using traps on the undeads spawn, so they nearly died immediatly when they spawned. But there are always moments when Jenny moves away from her normal position to fight some enemys. Speculation[edit]

There seems to be a mishmash of different theories and suggestions being presented as fact regarding the trigger condition. I'm going to clean this up a little as a I find some of them to be a stretch. If you have evidence of some theory being true please do present it. 76.253.0.17 20:49, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

I've been doing this chain of events for quite a while and I started to notice a pattern which is different from most of those speculations about what you need to do to make it spawn so here we go:
  • First, you DO NOT have to keep Jenny alive. After you kill the Champion Rise Pirate she may or may not leave the island. If she's not going to leave after you kill the champion, there will be a merchant icon on the map on her spot(and regardless of her being dead or alive, there wont be a black skull marking a dead NPC). If she's going to leave the island after you kill the champion, the merchant icon will dissapear as soon as the champion dies(and if she's dead the black skull icon will appear). At this point all you need to do is to res her if she's dead and let her go.
  • Now this is weird, but once Lindi leaves(I don't know what triggers her leaving because she's almost always gone) so the status changes from "Taidha has beend defeated" to "Lionguard are preparing to attack" you have to repeat "Protect Bill and Hekja" 3 times. I don't know why 3 times, but that's always like this.
For now this is my theory: Lindi's gone(status chages to "The Lionguard are prepapring to attack Laughing Gull Island and Taidha Covington."); Repeat "Protect Bill and Hekja" 3 times; Jenny's merchant icon is gone; so all you need to do is ress her if she's dead so she can leave.
