Verify[edit]

I have a bit of an issue with the page as it is right now. The first major problem is how to verify this info. As I understand it is all spoken info from PAX. The amount of content mentioned seems a bit small for a living world patch, specially compared to what we are used too. All the info out there on internet, I could find, has been taken from this page. So unless someone can find a transcript or a tape of what was actually said I put a notice on top.Ranique (talk) 09:42, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

A recording of the stream is available on Twitch. Also, I don’t think many took the information from this page, as a lot people watched the stream just like me. Dulfy for example wrote down a lot more from the whole event. poke | talk 10:29, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
Thanks Poke, I didn't know it was broadcasted on Twitch. Unfortunally/fortunally Twitch playback is not working. It is a known problem. I'll let the vid load overnight and and hopefully watch it tomorrow. Without having seen it, the page as it as now seems very limited. I wasn't there, but after having months off pretty intense content that took many hours to play through, this seems a bit tiny. This can be the cause off the amount of content indeed being limited, or cause the information given at PAX is incomplete, or cause this page isn't fully reflecting what the release is about. Guess I watch the twitch vid on my own tomorrow and be my own judge. Ranique (talk) 16:26, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
Maybe they're doing this on purpose, so that the mid-month update doesn't add too much new content on top of SAB 2. I know last time it took me most of the month to complete all the achievements for world 1, and I certainly don't want to be rushed to complete world 2 in a mere 2 weeks. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 16:30, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
Might be worth to mention that they didn’t explicitely announced the release. They just announced the new Tequatl fight as the main content, and quickly showed off the LFG tool. And then later they mentioned the borderlands change. So it’s very possible that they include more stuff in there, but I wouldn’t expect too much, but rather look out for some SAB related additions instead. poke | talk 16:33, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

Karka Queen[edit]

Reward updates for the old girl are already live with the Sept. 3rd patch, and not part of this upcoming release unless they're getting another pass on the 17th.

"In the next update the same philosophy will apply to the karka queen, who will get a bump to her rewards as well given her difficulty" Am I the only one, who thinks that "the next update" in the context of that thread means "the next update after September the 17th"? Tequila Sunrise[edit]

Am I the only one you constantly missreads the titel of this release: Tequila Sunrise? - Yandere Talk to me... 10:36, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

No, Tequila is a common nickname over at ArenaNet and I heard they like their booze.--Relyk ~ talk < 10:44, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
Common nickname among the players, too. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 12:15, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

LFG Tool[edit]

Just an interesting thought, but I wonder if Anet modeled this new tool after GW2LFG.com. The things included in it, such as ability to choose the content you want to advertise for and ability to add a note seem very familiar to GW2LFG.com Thoughts? (Usaf1a8xx (talk) 14:19, 11 September 2013 (UTC))

I think it’s more likely that *every* better LFG tool has filters and possibilities to specify what you want to do. After all, GW2LFG—albeit being very helpful for GW2 until now—didn’t invent all that stuff either. poke | talk 16:31, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

spawn rate[edit]

is it being tracked any place, for tequatl?-User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 03:38, 19 September 2013 (UTC)

Living Story panel?[edit]

Where would the text from the living story UI panel on the right side of the screen go? It's presented in a similar way to meta events:

  • Event in progress = Tequatl is attacking the Splintered Coast!
  • Event not in progress = The Splintered Coast shores are calm.

This panel has been used for every release to date, even before the living story began, so I think it deserves its own page. I'd also argue that it should be included in Template:Event along with the icons it uses. It could be classified as a "World Meta Event" or something. -Somohexual (talk) 21:10, 19 September 2013 (UTC)

I put these under the "special event" type. The problem is, there's no content beyond how the text changes and it's not used for navigation and you end up navigating more than necessary. We've instead had a section on the release page to cover the special event information.--Relyk ~ talk < 04:58, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

Very disappointing[edit]

What a waste this is....too much going on, you can't see what all is happening and players just running around, the frame rate and game suffers, overpowered foes...it's a joke. There were a ton of players and they were all dying and it just wasn't fun. You can't even rez players. This really is a waste of time. I've heard too many complaints about this task and I tried it and I can see why...it sucks. You just throw money away using waypoints and fixing armor especially when you can't use nearby waypoints as they are contested (waypoints then are just useless). 69.47.136.214 04:51, 20 September 2013 (UTC)Thugem Chi

Other players have enjoyed the release, although it can be frustrating. I would suggestion you post on the official forum as ArenaNet doesn't read the talk pages or use them for feedback.--Relyk ~ talk < 04:58, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

No reward at 75% health[edit]

Anyone else experience this? The description does not say the phase needs to be successful. Кγʃε ʅʃαπ ƌεᴦ Ϻεεᴦ 06:48, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

the thing that I have noticed is no achivment from having the mega laser fire (which i have had happen twice got gold completion on that event both times)-User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 18:49, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
