Subtle announcement that spells will be able to cause critical hits, or am I wearing a tin foil hat? -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (τѧιк) 02:27, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

I don't see why not, some spells of the same kind of spell could do more damage depending on where it is hit (i.e., a fireball to the head=burning hair, blinded eyes). -- Konig/talk 04:28, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Honestly, if elementalists have amazing abilities like this, I can't wait to see what the rangers will have. Eive_Windgrace 04:56, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
This been confirmed? --Knighthonor 05:12, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Added the source/reference. Just because there is. Ge4ce 18:31, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
I assumed this had something to do with Elementalists being able to wield daggers. Just my two cents. 64.229.174.80 04:39, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
From BWE1, Yes, spells can critical hit. Yes, this signet appears to increase critical hit chance.... by about 2%. A single piece of gear can out-perform that, and you have 12+ bits of gear to work with. Torrenal 04:23, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
if this skill increases crit chance by 2%, then this skill provides 50 precision based off other signet boosts and the precision's page and the comment above me. 192.168.104.79 23:08, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

So after 250 years elementalists finaly learn how to use signets? Gj.--NeilUser Neil2250 sig icon5 Anti.png 18:43, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Burning[edit]

I almost added this to the list of skills that inflict burning when I made it earlier, but it seems to be speculation to link this to Burning. I got the impression that "burn" just meant dealing fire damage, since spells that inflict Burning generally say that they light the target on fire. I may just be over-thinking, but oh well. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 03:15, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

AFAIK, in GW1, fire damage was always called "fire damage". Why would it be otherwise in GW2? Many GW1 skill descriptions use directly the word "burning" to describe the condition, and some even use it as a verb (burns) exactly like here. See gw1:Signet of the Unseen for example. I really can't think of a reason why they would use "burn" for anything other than the "burning" condition. Chriskang 07:30, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Fair enough, I just had to ask. :P Adding it to the lists. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 19:26, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Passive[edit]

The passive effect currently adds more dps than either Ice Bow or Glyph of Storms. Pity the most boring skill is also the most effective.
