finally! ^^ --you like that don't you..The Holy Dragons 06:47, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

So which of the many dozen interviewers was the book brought ip in? Perhaps a reference tag is in order.Konig/talk 08:14, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
the only thing I know is that it's from Ree's Speech @ Gamescom http://www.flickr.com/photos/arenanet/6059163394/in/set-72157627328903215/ --you like that don't you..The Holy Dragons 08:21, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
amazon says that the release date is 26 June 2012 - is this the real one? Getefix 11:47, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
It is just a placeholder, other websites say March 2012 and we do not have an official source, Arenanet would tell us. - Giant Nuker 15:45, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
alright thanks - phew i hope its earlier -.- Getefix 21:43, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

New info[edit]

[1] "I finished the first draft I think, at the end of October. This is funny, that draft went into the hands of the editor, and from the editor, it went back into ArenaNet’s hands, because ArenaNet has to give approval, “Yes, you have, in fact, written all of our characters correctly.” This is what we do with any author. So… I am now waiting on myself to give approval for the book! Just kidding, it’s actually more than just me, it’s the entire writing staff. It’s still sort of funny though. Once they give approval for the book, it’ll go back to the editor, who sends me their notes and his notes, for editing and revision, then once that’s done, the book’s ready for publication." Konig/talk 19:32, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

So it should be out soon...--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 17:08, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

Pushed back to August 28th[edit]

The release of the book has been pushed back... to my birthday. Awww, Anet, you shouldn't have. <3 I seriously don't know whether to be sad over it pushed back, happy to know when it'll be released, or ecstatic that Anet has apparently unintentionally gave me the best birthday present (the only thing that could make it better is that being when GW2 is released). Konig, it seems you got the only thing that could make your birthday better. Apparently something had to happen on August 28th. Still haven't heard anything about the book though.-- Natalie Black User Natalie Black sig.jpg 04:42, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, sounds like the book got pushed back further from the looks of it, which is sad and odd considering they said they were in the editing phases back in... March? One would expect it this or next month (or it having been earlier)... Guess GW2 is requiring a lot more time now. Konig/talk 04:47, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

Release Date set up?[edit]

Just a thought of mine but could it be that they would wanna release this right before or around the same time as GW2? Maybe to do some book and game combo sell for some places. Like it would be nice to read this a week before release, or as you start the game. But then again that's just my thoughts. <---Neji was here---<<< 20:57, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

I wouldn't be surprised as the first two came out within a number of months from another and this one has been in the polishing phase for some time now so it seems they are waiting for something to release it. It will come out before GW2 I imagine but how much before, I have no idea. -- Natalie Black User Natalie Black sig.jpg 21:40, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
I'm hoping there's some time between the release of the book and the game, and for the book to come before. Why? I want time to read the book without being distracted by more GW2 goodness. Konig/talk 21:46, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
I've been corresponding with Ree and the book will probably be released around mid-2013 :) Here is her mail (JohnMcKee 11:20, 4 December 2012 (UTC))
just been noseying about for any info on the release of this and on simon and schusters site they got the release of the audio book down for June 25th and the paperback out July 1st and they got Ree down for some book signing on August 9th :o info ArthasShadowsong (talk) 03:24, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
I have also been looking into this as I have it ordered on Amazon and they moved the release from a one week window to July 1st as well. I checked Barnes & Noble and they are set for June 25th for Nook edition and paperback which may be incorrect. In any event it seems they know something even though there is no posting by Anet regarding the third book. EDIT: I now see it is mentioned on the Sky Pirates page announcing the new content. -- Natalie Black User Natalie Black sig.jpg 19:52, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Interesting -- I just picked up a copy of it the other day (June 21, 2013) at my local Barnes and Noble. I hadn't thought it was out yet, saw it on the shelf, gave it a lookover to make sure it was a GW2 novel and not something else, and snagged it. It was a pretty good read, so I hope you all find it, too. 71.58.70.77 02:06, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
I ordered mine from Amazon on 2013/6/21 and it arrived the next day, paperback. Little over halfway through it now and it's definitely the most well written of the 3 novels so far. Very enjoyable read. --Souldonkey (talk) 17:12, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

Amazon has shipping date[edit]

Amazon says they'll be shipping it June 27th. Ramei Arashi (talk) 04:31, 22 June 2013 (UTC)

2 versions?[edit]

So I'm planning to buy this and noticed that it got republished. The original being through Simon & Schuster and the newer through Titan Books Ltd (Which aside from being pricier, also has ~170 pages less!). Anyone know more about it? Much cut or just more text on the pages? User Karuro Sig.png Karuro 13:57, 25 July 2014 (UTC)

The Titan version is a trade paperback, meaning it has a larger page size (about 1" in each direction), so they can fit more words on each page. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:33, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
