The page says this rune increases healing, which doesn't make much sense. Could it be increasing compassion instead? --71.13.51.6 01:33, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

Compassion is the attribute, however, currently in-game when healing is used as an attribute, it means compassion. I don't know why they didn't switch it. Aqua (T|C) 02:07, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

Signet of Malice.[edit]

Does anyone know if effect 6 triggers on the passive effect of the SoM, i.e. heal on attack? ButeoRegalis 14:37, 26 October 2012 (PDT)

Nerfed.[edit]

as of 16.08.2012 the 6th rune grants only 5 seconds of regen upon using a healing skill instead of 10. --DIVA 12:35, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Does any of you have a slight idea about why this rune got nerfed? I mean at you invest 6 runes to get a conditional effect from it. Why was it halved?--DIVA 13:16, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
Balancing. Maybe they thought there was too much regeneration covered in groups or something. Edit: Also, 10 seconds of regeneration is quite powerful. Maybe it was too powerful to put it on a rune. — Gnarf ~ El Psy Congroo ~ 13:22, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
Healing in general got a slight reduction and reswizzlement between stress tests 5 and 7. Some healing skills got a flat reduction of the heal amount, others had both heal and recharge reduced (the heal-over-time remained constant, but the packets are smaller and can occur more frequently). This change was probably just part of that. And yes, 10s of regen on a 10s cooldown was probably too powerful. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 15:17, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Which skills are affected?[edit]

From my testing with my warrior and the PVP version of the rune, it does only work with any healing skill on the healing skill slot 6 only. It does not work with trait Vigorous Shouts. Any testings with other classes? --213.196.136.71 15:15, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

As with most "on healing" skills, it procs when you use the #6 skill slot and nothing else. Incidentally this also means that it procs when an engineer switches to a healing kit or when a mesmer both prepares a (healing) mantra AND uses the mantra, even though both cases are not actually the healing skill but a preparatory step in the chain. --94.76.168.253 10:17, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Is this regeneration as strong as it should be?[edit]

On my level 80 mesmer, with 400-ish healing, regeneration from the rune set appears to tick for 73 health per second, which is an incredibly small amount. Is this right? - Because, my calculations show it should tick for nearly 10 times that value at this level of healing skill. Can anyone else confirm that while it's marked as regeneration it doesn't appear to be deriving it's rate of healing from the rune bearer? --94.76.168.253 10:14, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Can the Superior Rune be purchased standalone?[edit]

Like the Superior Monk runes from the Ascalonian tears vendor. Or must they be salvaged from the armors?

They must be salvaged if you want a standalone rune. Armor for 42000 karma (with superior runes) is available from Orr, temple of Dwayna. --Alad 16:05, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

Does the increased regeneration duration apply to regeneration from these runes?[edit]

Does the increased regeneration duration apply to regeneration from these runes? It says regeneration duration is increased by 20%. It says you can get regeneration for 10 seconds or 5 seconds. Do those times get increased to 12 seconds and 6 seconds? Or does the duration increase only apply to regeneration from other sources? 08:44, 3 December 2012 (UTC)

Not tested with this particular rune, but the intrinsic boons should see their durations increased too. --Alad 16:08, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

There is bug about this rune[edit]

Class: Ranger (with trait Regenaration 33%); Testing skill: Healing Spring; With the whole set of Dwayne: in the end the regeneration time shows 25sec last; With only two rune of Dwayne: in the end the regeneration time shows 15sec last. The difference between the two results shuold be 5sec only, not 10sec.

Nature magic increases also boon-duration and the regeneration of the rune is also increased: 5s x 0,63 (or even more) is may not 10s, but claearly more than 5s. --77.23.125.56 18:32, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

4th bonus useless for light armor classes[edit]

5% chance when hit to gain regeneration for 10 sec, every 30 sec. That means, on average, being hit 20 times to get a regen from it. For a light (or even medium) armor class (who are expected to avoid being hit to survive), 20 hits at high level will kill you more often than not. If you want to really get the most out of that bonus, you'd have to get hit 20 times every 30 seconds... I would say that is a guaranteed death, regeneration or not (if you can survive that via other healing means, then you don't need this bonus anyway). If that probability were around 20%, it would make more sense. As it stands, I suppose only heavy armor users who can take that kind of punishment may find that bonus interesting. --Alad 15:52, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

Feedback 2015/09/09[edit]

According to the article, the superior rune can only be acquired with temple karma armor. But said armor is not salvageable, making it impossible to get the rune (except with a gemstore upgrade extractor) and impossible to create the [Seal of Dwayna] for the collection. Turned out that I was able to buy one for 3s on the TP ... those must come from somewhere else than karma armor (unless a lot of people get them with 42k karma + upgrade extrator and sell it at 3s ...) --Eowin (talk) 21:54, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Mhenlo's set apparently has them, also Mystic Forge. Tyndel (talk) 21:59, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
