I don't understand how my guardian sometimes gains resistance[edit]

I don't use Contemplation of Purity at all, and I don't see any other listed ways for this class to gain that boon.
I notice it tends to happen in Bitterfrost Frontier only though. --175.145.234.180 01:24, 27 April 2017 (UTC)

I guess you're not using Superior Runes of Durability? It could be other players providing it but I agree I don't know why that would be specific to Bitterfrost Frontier. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 08:09, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
I'm using Pack runes and Strength & Accuracy sigils, so they don't give resistance at all. --175.145.232.106 15:43, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
It could be from the Pure of Voice trait. --118.101.155.111 01:48, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
If you're really only experiencing this in Bitterfrost AND farming berries, you may be running near a mesmer using Signet of Inspiration. Next time you get it, hover your mouse over the boon and you'll be able to see if another player gave it to you. If it doesn't have a playername listed, then one of your traits is supplying it.--Rain Spell (talk) 02:56, 15 May 2017 (UTC)

What condis specifically does this boon work for?[edit]

Does this boon work for poison's healing reduction, and for weakness' glancing blows and endurance regeneration reduction?

All non-damaging conditions are temporarily negated while having resistance, see the first section of conditions for damaging and non-damaging ones. Interestingly the poison's -33% healing effectiveness is not negated, I guess since poison is a damaging condition, i.e. the healing is still reduced while being affected by the condition poison and the boon resistance. All other non-damaging conditions such as weakness, blind, chilled, etc... and their effects are negated. --Tolkyria (talk) 19:00, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
