bindiness[edit]

Per my removal of this info: Most recipe sheets are account bound, but based on my TP searching, festival recipes and legendary gift recipes are not. I'm pretty sure none of the items crafted from recipe-sheet recipes are immediately soulbound, however. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 15:37, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

That text was copypasted. The recipes from recipe sheets purchased from vendors are soulbound, they're inscriptions and such after all. The items made from non-account bound aren't soulbound. I think those are mutually exclusive at this point.--Relyk 23:45, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

stack[edit]

Do these items stack? 76.253.0.17 23:01, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

many different methods[edit]

Should there be one place on the wiki where the "many different methods" of acquiring recipe sheets are given? ~ 1Maven (talk) 17:59, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

You'd be listing every acquisition method in the game, short of the Gem Store. A list like that is pointless. Worse, it's misleading because each sheet can only be acquired in specific ways. And those are already documented on the individual item's pages. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 18:12, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

Where do you get the recipies? --97.89.146.182 17:19, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

Which recipe are you referring to? This page serves as an overview for generic recipe sheets, not as a page for a specific recipe. —Ventriloquist 17:23, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
If you would like to see the overwhelming list of recipe sheets you can buy, you can check out Category:Recipe sheets. Fortunately you don't need to buy those to improve your crafting. They just provide even more options on top of what you character can craft naturally, and what they can learn through discovery.
If you're more interested in just crafting or general recipes, try those links. G R E E N E R 17:49, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

standardization and new HoT icons[edit]

I've standardized the icon names based on their appearance, rather than their usage. This was necessary because HoT introduced an actual exotic gift icon, where previously the only exotic gifts (Halloween gifts like Recipe: Gift of Spiders) used the exotic food icon, which wasn't actually used for food.

I also finished uploading the new sheet icons added to the .dat file with HoT: Recipe sheet ascended breather.png Writ of Basic Speed.png Recipe sheet fine boots.png Recipe sheet exotic component.png Recipe sheet masterwork food.png Recipe sheet rare food.png Recipe sheet rare bag.png

Recipe sheet exotic decoration.png - This is a brand-new design, and I haven't kept my API-scraper code up-to-date, so unfortunately I can't search my item DB to find what it's used for. It'll need to be renamed and added to the table whenever someone figures it out.

That unknown is for Uzolan's Notes, so likely recipes for decorations or schematics for Scribe. Mora 18:02, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
Interesting, that's just a material, not a recipe sheet. Thanks Anet for being inconsistent YET AGAIN. No point calling it a recipe sheet icon if it's not used for recipe sheets... —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 18:06, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
I already uploaded the icon for the breather. Ascended breathers omit the aqua part, so I figured we might as well. —Ventriloquist 19:33, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

Which of my crafting disciplines learns a recipe sheet that I use?[edit]

If both my crafting disciplines are able to learn a certain recipe from a recipe sheet, and I double-click the recipe sheet, which of my 2 crafting disciplines learns it? Is there a way to choose which of my 2 crafting disciplines consumes a recipe sheet? --138.75.212.57 17:34, 18 March 2016 (UTC)

Think of it this way, your character learns the recipe, not the discipline. So if the same recipe exists in 2 disciplines, your character will be able to craft that in any discipline. HOWEVER, another character sharing those same disciplines will NOT be able to craft it since he/she has not learned it. -Darqam (talk) 17:37, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
Ohh, so both crafting disciplines have access to it with just 1 recipe sheet used. That would make certain pairs of crafting disciplines better on 1 character, such as Weaponsmith/Hunter and Armorsmith/Leatherworker. Too bad I've already let 4 characters learn the 8 crafting disciplines... --138.75.212.57 19:08, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
Correct, one could try to 'idealize' their crafting professions to minimize recipe purchase. If, as you say, you haven't done this, don't worry about it. You can still craft the item with one character (say weaponsmith) go to your other character (say huntsman) and use the item there. It's slightly annoying to do but worthwhile to know. There should never be a need to learn the recipe more than once, with exception of learning it on the wrong character or convenience. -Darqam (talk) 19:17, 18 March 2016 (UTC)

Is there a list of recipe sheets for runes/sigils (that were introduced in the rune/sigil rework) and how to acquire them?[edit]

I'm referring to the update that introduced lucent motes/crystals and changed & added recipes for runes & sigils. --161.142.98.207 11:14, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
