I was hoping for a return of this, I always loved seeing how I could use this. Eive_Windgrace 04:46, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

I added a GWW link at the top. Also, I hope we more information on this soon. I love this skill in the original.--Xerelin 14:59, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
The original skill is why my character's descendants glow in the dark. Now that I think about it, this probably explains his baldness as well. -.-! --Sinharath 04:11, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
Now way I'm using this. If shattered mutated monsters wasn't enough, the last thing I need is something like a damn Hulk Jotun. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 02:08, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

Radiation Field from BWE2[edit]

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this picture, but I was able to test out the Rune of the Rata Sum during the BWE and also got a picture of a Radiation Field. It seems to cause an area around the glowing stone and any enemies in it gain random conditions and any party members gain boons (like chaos storm) I apologize in advance for the quality of the image User Ganon RadiationField.jpg Ganon 19:24, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Duration[edit]

The field seems to last for 15 seconds, reapplying 3 seconds of poison and weakness to everything in it every 3 seconds. This makes it an above average (though not amazing) source of weakness. --Clockwork Bard 16:58, 6 August 2012 (UTC)

Also we should note that this skill gives Guardians, Warriors, Elementalists, and Mesmers access to Poision that they otherwise do not have (or don't have reliably in the mesmers case of random conditions) 166.147.88.38 17:43, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

This skill has a damage pulse initially and then every 3 seconds. It's not a lot of damage but it's a little something and will trigger crit procs. I don't know if Arenanet intended for this as it's not in the skill description.Mootay (talk) 06:35, 7 April 2014 (UTC)

The damage pulse has been there since the start so probably intended. Annoying since it removes stealth, maybe that's the reason? Aro User Aro Signature Logo.gif 01:18, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
