Gravesites[edit]

It would be nice if one to form a page on the gravestones and their ephatets (sp?) as described in one of the links in the current blog entry. Yumiko ^,~ 15:14, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

I got about 20 Tombstones which I shall make at [[Tombstone (Shaemoor)]] or [[Tombstone (Queensdale)]] (as there are at least some shared name grave markers in Divinity's Reach. And I think I only got a third of them... it'll be one long as page. Konig/talk 20:00, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

Completion message[edit]

I got this on my warrior and it says "greetings, fellow warrior," so it needs to be checked sometime in the future what it says for different professions. Sjacie User:Sjacie 20:55, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

IRL: Phinney Ridge[edit]

I thought it should be noted that Phinney Ridge is a Seattle neighborhood. Corvis 16:41, 15 September 2012 (UTC)

Sub-regions that aren't Point Of Interests[edit]

The areas that aren't specifically points of interest should be able to be listed on a page like this. So for instance the link to Swamplost Haven with the listing of the folks in that area should still be referencable. It isn't a Point Of Interest though from the perspective of completing the map. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 192.168.104.79 (talk).

Those'll be documented (eventually) as landmarks. Konig/talk 20:46, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

heart vender list[edit]

i'd like to add what the heart vendors are selling and how much karma it cost. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Beastinchains (talkcontribs).

That information goes on the actual heart NPCs, not on this zone article, as it is irrelevant to the zone itself (that is, it's not directly relevant to what goes on here). Konig/talk 19:34, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
I agree there should be more of a direct link, because you have to hop around a bit Renown heart NPC -> [[NPC services]] -> NPC service -> Karma merchant -> ) until you get to the List of Krytan karma merchants, and even then that's just a list of them, with out a table of the merchandise they sell. You still have to click on each one to find what you are looking for. --Iceblue 13:22, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

Interesting Things[edit]

There is a tree that is being constantly "shaken" by an invisible force west of Kappa's Corral, though there doesn't seem to be anything related to it, it's rather unusual. 72.201.8.180 02:54, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

There's an owl and raccoon that circle around the area close to the beehives, across the way to around the fishing area, then back. I think if one gets killed, the other waits for it to respawn, then they return to doing their loop. The owl walks close by the raccoon, and only flutters to get around obstacles. It's so cute! Tashiro 17:19, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

The tree is part of Herd the pygmy moas into the pen - Kappa explains that the moas love living in flora, e.g., the shaking is caused by Pygmy Moas. Konig/talk 20:39, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

Event Train Section[edit]

I'd like some help from the community to build a section on the Queensdale page (or a new page for all the different "trains" that happen in GW2.

When you enter queensdale you may see messages like "Train at Boar" or "Don't kill Oak till train gets there." Here is what these messages mean:

There are a list of Champions that people do in sequence:

Event boss (tango icon).png Defeat the cave troll (11) at Vale Waypoint. Then head out of the troll cave and north east to the Bandithaunt Caverns for Event boss (tango icon).png Eliminate the champion bandit lieutenant (5). People then Waypoint to Phimney Waypoint for Event boss (tango icon).png [Group Event] Defeat the corrupted veteran oakheart (9). People then Waypoint to Krytan Waypoint they head east along the road. Along the way sometimes Event boss (tango icon).png Destroy the champion wasp queen (9) is up. Continue east up a hill to kill the Champion Spider: which is nott Event boss (tango icon).png Kill the huge spider in Eda's Orchard (4). Then head north-west to Event boss (tango icon).png Hunt and slay the giant boar (10). Then back to Cave Troll.

If you hear that an event is happening it's best to head to the next one on the list and wait for the train to reach you as each event is completed very fast... Jomo (talk) 19:16, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

Planning to detail champion train on the Zerg article.--Relyk ~ talk < 21:42, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

September Feature Pack 2014 Pet Changes[edit]

So it looks like some kind of disaster hit Queensdale and as far as I can tell, not a single juvenile animal can be tamed here after the September Feature Pack. Please correct me if you know of one because I can't find any of them any more. Traveller (talk) 21:56, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Grammar[edit]

I'm not sure if Canadian grammar is different than US grammar, but "The" does not go in front of most countries/areas. For example it's not "The Canada" it's just "Canada", it's not "The Rata Sum" it's just Rata Sum or it's not "The New York" it's just "New York". Not to mention, look in the description on the top of the page, there is no "The" in front of Queensdale in the in-game description. So it's both incorrect grammar and it goes against what is already said in game. - Doodleplex 08:06, 25 September 2016 (UTC)

As opposed to the Queensdale, all three examples you just gave refers to areas/locations with proper names. Quick little example for you. Blazeridge Steppes = Blaze (common)/ridge (common)/Steppes (common) and Rata Sum = Rata Sum (Proper/fictional name). As for the topic at hand, Queensdale = Queen (common)/dale (common). --Louise (talk) 08:10, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
"The Queensdale is __" sounds weird. "The Queensdale zone/area" on the other hand sounds okay to me. (Queensdalean..?) --BryghtShadow (talk) 08:30, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
I don't really get the Queensdalean part since it's not meant to be a country/province in the first place but only a playable zone. Anyways, norn living in Hoelbrak aren't referred to as Hoelbrakians and this place has the merit of having a proper name. --Louise (talk) 08:34, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
"Proper nouns don't need a the. It's as if they already have one attached, so they can't (except under certain unusual circumsances) take another one. They already mean "The one you know"" ie no "the" in front of Queensdale as it is a proper noun. Also the in game description at the top of the page doesn't have "the" in front of Queensdale, so...yeah. - Doodleplex 08:40, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
Except the name Queensdale doesn't consist of any proper names/words... so yeah... --Louise (talk) 08:50, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
I'm going to assume by your answer they teach something different in Canada, but in the US Queensdale would be a proper noun. And as the game is made in the US, you should use the game's country of origin's grammar and spelling. So no "the". - Doodleplex 08:58, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
("The Queensdalean" was just an extreme, but meant as in "this thing belongs to Queensdale" like "Canadian" or "Asuran". It's probably just Queensdale <noun>...)
Anyway, browsing through the game strings...:
  • "Purchase from Fiona Hastings in the apiary near Claypool in Queensdale after [...]"
  • "Halloween is a crazy time! [...] The Priory has heard reports of terrifying creatures coming through strange doors in Queensdale, Kessex Hills, and Gendarran Fields. [...] —Captain Tokk"
  • "The Ministry and I have appointed two individuals to act as city heralds. They are positioned near the Queensdale exit and the Lion's Arch asura gate, [...]—Queen Jennah" -- This is the only string that matches "The Queensdale".
"Queensdale" is never referred to as "the Queensdale". --BryghtShadow (talk) 09:26, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
