Page Revamp Suggestions[edit]

The current page is very haphazard but I know I cannot format a replacement one.

There is a pattern to the potions as they grow in strength. The materials move up the tiers as the potion increases.

Weak - Tier 1, Minor - Tier 2, Potion - Tier 3, Strong - Tier 4, Potent - Tier 5

Cooking ingrents and Water remain constant but I have not moved high enough in it to see if the gemstones scale as well.

The table needs to be redone similar to the Runes page with a Potion type then all the permutations beside it, leading to a single potion page that lists the recipes instead of 5 separate pages. 99.126.59.233 15:58, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

I copied the template from the runes-page and put the known Slaying potions together, arranged by enemy type. Not sure if it would look better arranged by level or crafting tier. 192.168.104.79 12:23, 7 October 2012 (UTC) <-- I finally managed to create an account Broccoli Surprise 16:34, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

Started gathering all the tiers of Slaying Potions on the same page. Undead and Centaur-potions are done, all other slaying potions follow the pattern of one of these in level requirements, so it should be a simple task of copy/replace/paste and rewriting the recipes. After seeing this "Potion bonuses stack with bonuses from foods and other sources. They do not stack with other potions or Tuning Crystals. ", I would like to know : exactly what is meant by "bonuses". Nocturnallunacy 07:12, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Powerful Potion of Slaying Scarlet's Armies[edit]

Should the Powerful Potion of Slaying Scarlet's Armies be added to the Slayer potions table? It is not a craftable potion but it is a kind of slayer potion. So I think it should be added. Balwin (talk) 13:42, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Well, just added it now. Balwin (talk) 09:54, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

Has the "+10% Experience from kills" been removed from some slayer potions?[edit]

For example, I just noticed that the mouseover descriptions of Minor Potion of Outlaw Slaying and Strong Potion of Elemental Slaying no longer have the line "+10% Experience from kills", but I still see this line on Potion of Outlaw Slaying for example. --138.75.230.51 19:25, 24 July 2017 (UTC)

Comparing the API with the wiki's version, I found three differences: Minor Potion of Outlaw Slaying, Potion of Elemental Slaying, Strong Potion of Elemental Slaying (179 pages compared total). The rest seem to be as described. Its weird I'll give you that, I cannot imagine its intentional ... unless they were messing with foes we'll encounter in the new content? -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 21:11, 24 July 2017 (UTC)

Damage vs strike damage?[edit]

So these potions all have "damage" in their tooltips, but some people believe they only boost strike damage. As "damage" to me implies all dmg, not just strike, I think we should test/clarify this. ~Sime 20:22, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

In general, if the description has not been updated recently (let's say the last two years) and it's not mentioned differently somewhere else (for example skill fact stating damage but skill description stating condition damage) then the outdated term damage stands for the currently used term strike damage. --Tolkyria (talk) 12:19, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
