Cheers. Shadow Runner 15:46, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
And I forgot that Viper's Nest has it as well. This page just needs some prettier editing, which I cannot do since I'm bad with 'doing' new pages. ge4ce 15:48, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
This hasn't specifically been said to be a condition. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 16:05, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
True, but I can't think what other category it could fall into. Possibly change to "Is a possible condition..." ? ,,"Klumpeet",, 17:15, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
Just call it a "negative effect" for now. I'm not sure what the point of poisoning something is in an RPG if it doesn't leave some sort of lingering effect, which would presumably be bad (unless GW2 boldly introduces "Healing Poison"). 68.164.119.159 18:56, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
...poison doesn't heal in Guild Wars?
Now they tell me! User A F K When Needed Signature Icon.jpg A F K When Needed 20:35, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
(RI) You know, on further thought, the Condition article already lists Poison along with Blind and a bunch of other speculative, but unconfirmed, conditions. None of the other "possible" conditions have pages yet. So either it should be agreed that speculative conditions get their own pages (and the redlinks fixed), or they don't (and the Poison page gets temporarily ganked). By giving each "negative effect" its own page, curious users could at least easily see which known skills cause what effect. Or, this data could be worked into the Conditions page itself, since info is still thin right now. Thoughts? 68.164.116.149 03:02, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Every option for every other subject can discussed this way then. Currently, it's simply the matter of satisfaction in updating the wiki and keeping the fans/people/players/others, who don't have a lot of time, up to date. Even letting them in on information which they wouldn't even be aware of. (non-English interviews, non-mmo website's, articles in magazines, conventions, etc.) Each of these 'conditions', aka. 'negative effect', should keep its own page though. Seeing how additional skills, information and/or effects can be added then. This however does not imply that every one should get their page, seeing how some have not been mentioned. (Though cripple has been, but none is bothered to add the page yet.) Even if this is thin, we might as well merge all skill pages together then, or other pages a like. It is fine how it is, currently. With more information to come in the future, we'll be changing here and there. And you are of course very welcome to do so as well. ge4ce 04:59, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
IIRC, cripple has only been used as a verb so isn't quite confirmed... but I agree it would be good to fix the red links with pages giving reference to the mention. ,,"Klumpeet",, 07:26, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Fix by removing the links in the first place, imo User A F K When Needed Signature Icon.jpg A F K When Needed 19:41, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

stub[edit]

Isn't everything on Guild Wars 2 wiki incomplete since we do not have complete information on anything about Guild Wars 2? Do we need the stub? Ramei Arashi 03:31, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Stubs are meant for articles which do not have all of the information we know or could know on it. Even if we don't or cannot know something about the article, it isn't a stub so long as everything we do and can know is on the page. Also, no need to post the same thing in multiple places.-- Konig/talk 03:37, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Pets?[edit]

Should we mention about pets being able to spread poison, presumably with their attacks as it said spreading toxins 96.245.174.169 17:20, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Sure, we could add something. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 17:59, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Non-stackable?[edit]

Source? I fail to find it in the interview linked in reference. User:Glastium Glastium | talk 07:17, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

it does stack, but i dont know how high. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1JfSbKjHHI - 5:25 you can see Tequatl with 5 stacks and the user gets poison stacked to 4. once again, i don't know the max amount it can stack --Universe 12:36, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
That's from an older demo. I just found a Tequatl fight from the latest demo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TIMtalS4FY&t=3m36s Apply poison makes every attack inflict poison, yet the dragon stays with only one poison. Adrian R 20:09, 1 February 2012 (UTC)

Power of mists icon[edit]

It needs to be changed to the current effect icon with the castle. In the ToC table. Yumiko ^,~ 17:07, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

How does stacking work?[edit]

If this stacks in duration, who's condition rating does it use to determine the actual damage?

Agreed, If I attack and poison someone for 3s and my condition damage is 10, then someone else attacks, adds another 3s of poison and their condition damage is 100. We agree that the enemy is poisoned for 6s but how much damage does he/she take? 10x3 then 100x3? or 10x6 or 100x6? --Theoddperson 11:56, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Removed two mesmer traits[edit]

I removed two mesmer traits from the list (Debilitating Dissipation and Chaotic Interruption), as their respective pages specifically state which conditions are triggered by them, and neither contains Poison. I assume the information there is more up to date, but I'm not sure about that. --Bfx 19:29, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

Heal Potency[edit]

So there is currently no information on the page about the 'heal potency' reduction. Is this just a 33% reduction in healing power? Perhaps some information should be added to the notes. --Combatter 09:49, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

33% reduction in healing--Relyk ~ talk > 11:22, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
What Relyk means is, it affects the total heal amount, not just your healing power attribute. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 13:35, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Upgrade Components[edit]

Shouldn't Rune of Ratasum be added under 'apply poision' too? The radiation field that is summoned does apply poison after all Lou Wolfskin (talk) 15:24, 27 June 2013 (UTC)

You are correct. :) Added. (and to weakness too). --Alad (talk) 16:46, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
