Channeling behavior[edit]

Someone has been insisting that you can channel an overload and also use auto-attack. I mean, if it is channeled, how is it possible you channel the overload and also cast an auto-attack (such as Lightning Whip)? I thought you couldn't simultaneously activate two skills at once, unless the latter was insta-cast (Arcane Wave for example). Are they mistaken or did I miss anything during last BWE? – Valento msg 18:03, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

How much time does it add to attunement recharge? if the answer is on the page, i can't find it. Important info.

Tested. Overloads are ready after 6s in game, not 5s as currently listed. Updated the article to reflect this.

Interesting. Just through this in myself and took a look. It seems like it is in fact 6 seconds as the coutdown start with the '5' seconds displayed, versus the '9' seconds displayed for attunement cooldown. I could have sworn an official source stated it was 5 seconds before... maybe a change prior to introduction they never mentioned? Either way, good catch! -Darqam (talk) 02:08, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
Ya, I thought there was an anet source saying that also. I spent an afternoon going through all their beta information on the Tempest and overloads, and they never say after how long overloads should be ready. I double checked the 6s interval against DEKeyz video and build on fire staff ele released shortly after HoT launched, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kw7zQi-t1s , and timed it as 6s as how long before fire overload was ready after the attunement. So I assume everyone just saw the number 5 over the overload after an attunement swap and assumed the readytime was 5s. I needa create an account.
