Name[edit]

The name of the dungeon is Molten Facility (in join tooltip, friend/guild list location), while the area on the map when you're in is called Molten Weapons Facility. --Tera 19:04, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
ArenaNet was too lazy to give names to the actually areas in the dungeon it just says "Discovered ". We should be fine with this name if they want to be inconsistent about it.--Relyk ~ talk > 04:42, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
I still think the article should be called the way the zone itself actually is, rather than by some tooltips elsewhere; that is just Molten Facility. User Noxx Sig.png 17:41, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
I chose the original name (meaning I put the link on the game release page using the text) based on the patch notes, which calls it "Molten Weapons Facility". I'm fine with whatever name is used, as long as we stay consistent, although I do notice that the devs and others shorten it to just MF. Vahkris 18:06, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

More than one facility and changing the location[edit]

"There is more than one facility and the location of the dungeon entrance will change over time. A progress bar for the special event will track the Molten Alliance strength, which decreases over time. The location of the facility is marked on the map as Molten Weapons Testing Facility. "

What does this mean in terms of how players interact with the game? Will the dungeon always be in Wayfarer? Will players running it on 1 May have a different experience than those that enter later in the month? Or is this just a cosmetic sort of count-down timer, indicating progress of the Living Story until its conclusion, when the current events are moved from the game? 75.36.178.111 20:13, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

The actual entrance is supposed to move. It'll be in Wayfarer's sometimes, or Diessa sometimes. Perhaps a small table should be put either here or on the Retribution page showing where it was on each day. Vahkris 20:40, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
The only change I know of to the dungeon is the Prisoners you free and collect. If the dungeon entrance is in Wayfarer they are Norn. If it is in Diessa they are Charr. User Mattsta Sig1.jpgUser Mattsta Sig2.jpg 04:38, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
That doesn't seem likely, considering that in my runthrough of the dungeon last night, we freed both Norn and Charr prisoners. It might be that the prisoners encountered are just random. - Zaxares 00:29, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
I'd say make it in Diessa and Wayfarer. You enter at Wayfarer and leave at Diessa.
Regardless the changing of spot is a hassle to some people. I don't have the greatest download rate and I know someone who basically downloads at dial up rate and having to update because of the change in spot is bothersome. I hope they consider that in future events. (I take back my comment if those updates were just plain updates and not because of the changing location though.) Shades (talk) 08:33, 11 May 2013 (UTC)

Potential expoit explanation?[edit]

The last paragraph of the 'Final Room' section (from "Note that the Molten Berserker's shockwaves...") explains what is arguably a currently usable exploit. If so, should it be here? I'm unsure of the wiki's stance on discussing exploits before they're fixed, but seeing as it is an official wiki I thought it best to question it. Laxley 21:35, 5 May 2013 (UTC)

As long as the exploit can be done from within the game and is useful to the article, there's no reason to omit it. We would never ban discussion on it. This tactic can be considered a viable strategy rather than an exploit and you can kill him pretty much as fast without it, although it will trivialize the battle. You would need a coordinated group for it to work anyways, your group can get killed easily if they do it wrong. We have the disposition to remove exploits that are game-breaking and therefore have a remote chance to get you banned. I don't think that's the case here, but that's all the more reason to post on the official forums so it gets fixed.--Relyk ~ talk > 23:02, 5 May 2013 (UTC)
Fair enough. I didn't particularly want to debate whether it is an exploit or not, but seeing as Anet's own request on exploits was to report them and not discuss them, not knowing the official wiki's stance I just wanted to bring it to somebody's attention. Unless finding a counter to in-game mechanics is considered an exploit, I don't see any question about the tactic described in the article. You aren't removing all risk, just trading one threat for another. It's similar to choosing to fight a bow ranger within melee distance or fighting a dual dagger elementalist at range. 75.37.21.96 00:11, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

Rumor[edit]

I heard a rumor that which boss you kill last will determine what you get in the chest i.e. Firestorm last you could get mini or jetpack, Zerk last you could get tonic recipe. It sounded like just hearsay to me but no one I talked to was able to prove otherwise. So if anyone can prove it that rumor wrong please say so. Shades (talk) 05:13, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
