Paragon?[edit]

Nope. Mediggo 12:46, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Her armour design (the colours, shape, materials, everything) is incredibly similiar to that of Paragons in Guild Wars 1 mind, and she is helping to manage the Mystic Forge which contains a Djinn from Elona...where Paragons come from. The Sunspear Order is defeated, but that doesn't mean there aren't random sunspear survivors littered around here and there...that's how the Guardians came about, afterall. I hope we can get hold of a similiar armour in-game ourselves though, would love to have my Guardian where something Paragon-esque in GW2. 82.11.226.30 23:18, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
User:Rhoot labeled the armor as Lionguard armor in his edit. Paragons have influenced Tyrian warfare and culture, but this NPC wearing an armor set similiar to Paragon armor from GW1 (IMO it is not similiar in any notable way – no crest of leadership or wings) does not make her a Paragon at all. Mediggo 10:26, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
The leggings are reminiscent of paragon armor, and the chest piece is not especially divergent from same. In context of the leggings, I could see the chest piece and leggings combined being taken as paragon armor. While wings are a common feature to many paragon armors, they are not common to all the paragon armors. Have a look at the norn and Asuran armors. The female deldrimore armor also varies in that the wings more resemble insect wings than bird wings. The hand pieces and footware may be divergent in terms of kinds of decorations, but in terms of proportion, the only piece that stands out as non-paragon is the shoulder pieces, and the detail that the right arm is mostly armored, likely a result of same. Except for the shoulder bit, this armor is consistent with paragon armor. How it takes dye appears to be consistent also with paragon armor. Is it paragon armor? No - there are no paragons in gw2, but it pulls very heavily from them. —Torrenal 16:37, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
There are no paragons YET but I bet they still exist in Elona. I hate people who think that Tyria will be the only continent in the game. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.28.229.104 (talk).
Speculations are speculations. Please remember to sign your comments. Mediggo 14:05, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
It's all speculation, so I'm removing the comment about what her armor looks like until there is a consensus on what it is. Hold Me Closer, Necromancer 02:18, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
By the way, that's non-exotic Pit Fighter armour, which I've always assumed was based on GW1's Gladiator armour, myself. - The Pointless talk 11:18, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

Escape from Elona?[edit]

How did Miyani escape from Elona? She looks to be in her mid-20's, and since we know that all contact has been lost for over 50 years (save for with the Order of Whispers), there are very few ways she could have gotten out. She's too young to be the child of one of the last refugees to escape. Its possible that Zommoros, being that he is a Djinn, whisked her away from Elona to safety in Lion's Arch (perhaps via a granted wish?), but no lore source can confirm that. It is also possible that the Order of Whispers got her out to get their hands on Zommoros, seeing as he is such a valuable resource as he is bound to the Mystic Forge. But again, no source confirms this. The final possibility is that she was just somehow able to sneak out. This is problematic, because if, due to Palawa Joko, "no one gets in or out", how did she? --- Blackvale (talk) 23:22, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Certain people can escape the unescapable. Mediggo (talk) 02:50, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
I personally think her dialogue suggests she was smuggled out as an infant or child, but I have no idea as to a method. Felix Omni Signature.png 03:02, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
It's possible the Whispers got her out of there, but that hole in Joko's "wall" may have since been plugged up by his forces. Did the Sunspears train their members from childhood? If not, I'm not sure she can be considered a sunspear if the wasn't in Elona long enough to become one. - The Pointless talk 11:16, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

Location[edit]

Miyani has moved back to LA with Zommoros

Sunspear Refugee[edit]

For the sake of casting a wider net, there was an anonymous unsourced edit from back in 2012 that claimed Miyani is a Sunspear refugee. Any evidence specifically regarding her alleged Sunspear status? -- Dualumina 22:33, 23 November 2022 (EST)
