This a Channel spell[edit]

Channel spell. pure speculation tho--Knighthonor 23:02, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

I can see why you'd say that, but it actually seems as though she stops in between and then casts again? (Or is that because the first golem that dies was her target and she has to switch?). --Naoroji User Naoroji Sigavatar.jpg I need help! 08:45, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
I noticed that too and the thought that went through my head was that maybe the leap at the start of the clip was actually the Elementalist casting Fire Attunement (notice how her hands then start glowing, which is a consistant trait in other videos, except with different colors for the various attunements). That would make the casting of Meteor Shower start when she rises into the air the second time and could also explain why the second casting didn't take as long. 4.88.54.235 18:30, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

The second casting takes just as long as the first. Though, it does seem like the elementalist is still casting the spell during the duration of the effect. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (τѧιк) 00:11, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
What "the second casting didn't take as long" meant was including the Fire Attunement before the first one, under the assumption that it was part of the Meteor Shower. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 01:49, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Oooh yeah, I see what you mean. :D --AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 02:04, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi all. First time trying to add to a wiki, ever. Here goes. Definitely a channeling spell from what I have seen. Has the yellow bar on the screen and everything. If anyone knows how to add it to the channeling skills list, that would be awesome, thanks. peace all!...Vash Past --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 174.58.23.105 (talk).

The only problem is how oddly this skill behaves; you can step out of it as soon as you see the first meteor fall (several seconds before it finishes "channeling") and you'll get the full amount of meteors. It acts like more of a standard cast-time skill in that regard, just with a couple extra seconds of needless casting. -Auron 02:13, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

New Trait System[edit]

Should we remove the trait section since elementalist traits work differently now? 173.67.17.219 17:03, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

Radius[edit]

anyone know whats the different between storm and damage radius? 95.147.134.161 13:35, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Storm radius is the full area within which the meteors can fall. Damage radius is the area of each meteor strike. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:10, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

"Full activation?"[edit]

What does the "full activation" mean in the notes section? I usually interrupt Meteor Shower by dodging (double-tap) at about 50% of the channeling bar and it's still cast successfully. Are there different levels of "activation", for example the longer you channel, the more powerful the spell is? If it doesn't make any difference, what is the additional channeling time needed for? --Teisei 「ページ」 「会話」 08:17, 4 September 2012 (UTC) EDIT: Forgot my signature.

Blasting Staff[edit]

Since Blasting Staff trait does not affect Meteor Shower, why is it in related traits section? --Teisei Page Talk 07:45, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

Damage[edit]

I was in WvW and was defeated, while waiting for res, I perused the combat log, some hits from enemy meteor shower were for 1800 or so, and some for around 3000, one hit was even 4000, does this mean it does different damage per hit or what? Can anyone verify this for me, or set it straight whats going on? Perhaps it was from multiple Ele's but I only saw one at the time... Also, if it does turn out it is from different Ele's, thats a BIG difference between them. Puk 06:40, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

The high damage numbers were crits. The different numbers probably mean you got hit by 2 different elementalists with different CritDmg attributes. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:17, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
Ah, yes I thought so. I cam to that conclusion when I woke up this morning still thinking about it, but thanks for clarity. Puk 04:37, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Bug Of Radius[edit]

The correct Radius is 480 (the statistic is wrong in GW2 too). I think is a bug.

Radius bug again?[edit]

I have noticed a strange behaviour. The targeting area (green circle before really casting the spell) is smaller than the impact area shown during the meteor falling. It seems the targeting area radius is 360 but the impact area is 480. However, after a few test it appears that none of the meteors fall into that gap. So, I thought this difference could be a way to show "Impact Radius" of meteors on the edge, but "Impact Radius" is 180 and the difference is 120. Did the "Impact Radius" have reduced following a update but without changing the API and the in game infobox? Is anyone having a explanation? Overwise we should add a bug on the article or at least a new note. — 𝒫𝒾𝓍𝑒𝓁𝒞𝓊𝒾𝒞𝓊𝒾 (talk) 01:50, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
