As of 2 Aug stress test, didn't seem to work. --Jack In The Box 08:39, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

Can someone update the status of this trait?, is it working now?--Rapid Sausage 01:23, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
This trait was working fine as of last night. Like all condition duration enhancers, it doesn't affect any conditions which are given out by illusions, which is (arguably) the majority of them for mesmer. However, that is not a bug specific to this trait, and it's debatable whether it is a bug at all. I'm removing the bug note ~ Capric 15:05, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

durations[edit]

I'm not verifying a lot of these durations that are listed as bugged. I'm getting +1s on cry of frustration even without illusionary retribution, +1s on chaos armor confusion, +1.3s on confusing enchantments (note it has base duration of 4s not 5s as tooltip indicates). That leaves only the phantasms and clone-based effects as not being affected by this trait. And since no illusions scale with condition duration, I'm not even sure if there's really even a bug here or not. ~ Capric 23:38, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

You're right about Cry and Chaos Armor, and I will update the page. Confusing Enchantments is a bit trickier; my original figures were off, and as you say the extra 1.33sec is calculated from a base duration of 4sec. So when you add Master of Misdirection to your traits, the confusion becomes 1.33sec longer - but that's not really 33% longer, because the actual base duration that you get is at least 4.8sec (due to the condition length added by the Domination line). It doesn't quite behave as you might expect, and to me it makes sense for us to explain that.
Incidentally I labelled it as 'notes' rather than 'bugs', because I agree with you that there's not really anything wrong; I'm just clarifying what "Confusion you inflict" means - Aethan Miramar 16:05, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
Fair enough! Condition duration is a huge headache on mesmers due to how illusions (currently, anyway) work, and I agree it's both completely unintuitive and could use explanation in general. ~ Capric 16:39, 29 September 2012 (UTC)

bugged to not work (tested as of 3/19/2015)[edit]

Not sure how to summarize this but... First off; giver's set on both hands (+20%), Sigil of Malice (+10%), full Rune of Perplexity (+30% specific for confusion), Rare Veggie Pizza (+40%), Toxic Focusing Crystal (+10%), full domination trait line (+30%), and this trait (4/3 multiplier). This trait is definitely not working at the moment among a few other things.

Listed on Confusing Images' tooltip hover:

22.5 seconds from 7 * 4/3 * (1 +0.2 +0.1 +0.3 +0.4 +0.1 +0.3) = 22.4

What the wiki says should happen:

18 +2/3rds seconds from above but capped meaning 7 * 4/3 * 2

What's happening:

14 seconds displayed as 13 seconds for a second long on foe's status bar. 50.245.236.33 05:29, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
