Areas for the duration of Scarlet's attack[edit]

The two versions of Lion's Arch that are pointed to by Lion's Arch (Enemy Controlled) and Lion's Arch (Under Attack!) either wholly or partially refer to the areas but currently point to those areas from old Lion's Arch. Isn't there a need for the areas to be differentiated from the old version just as the zone has been? I tried in User:Claret/Sandbox7 and its derivative areas but... --Claret (talk) 14:14, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

Was discussed, no one bothered changing as the discussion didn't really conclude (just... ended). Seeing how post-destruction's likely to be different from the original, I suggested move the changed stuff to a /historical subpage of each area, PoI, and landmark page. I think in the end, only three versions are needed: pre-invasion; during-invasion (Escape and Battle are the same with the exception of the citizens to save and the escort/champ events changing - and of course the map-wide meta).
Seeing how Escape functioned as a dungeon, I think treating Lion's Arch (Under Attack!) like a dungeon article would be best - e.g., we list all the NPCs and whatnot on that article, rather than on separate ones. Seeing how, as said, all NPCs are more or less the same as Battle, I doubt there'd be much issue. I was considering doing the same to Battle for Lion's Arch, but that functions more as a zone. Surprised as people seem to like accuracy, but that's fine. As long as no-one is worried. I'm disengaging from GW2 so I'm not really interested anymore. --Claret (talk) 14:30, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

Schedule?[edit]

How often does this event occur, specifically the boss's who will get you onto Scarlet's ship? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 136.2.1.105 (talkcontribs).

Hourly, they move at :00 and start at :05. Konig 19:01, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
Don't they move at :55 and become vulnerable at :00? And 5 minutes after the first knight was slain the fight on the Breachmaker starts. MalGalad 19:08, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

Dialogue section?[edit]

Just wondering if we should have a dialogue section for this version of LA, similar to on Lion's Arch (Under Attack!)? Many of the NPC's have different things to say in this update and there's new ambient dialogue about too, between Kas/Jory and Heal-o-Tron and Ellen Kiel o:

and if we were to have one, if the dialogue hasn't changed since the last patch, should I put it over here anyway, if it's still being used? or leave it, because we've already seen it in LA under attack? :)

Dialogue for talking to the NPCs should, IMO, go on the NPC articles - though for the biconics and Magnus (as well as some of the escort NPCs) they change from the Escape dialogue only after you kill Scarlet. Ambient dialogue could go here, NPC article, or both. This goes for both Escape and Battle versions of Lion's Arch. Konig 13:58, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
I was planning to put it somewhere as well, either here, on Battle for Lion's Arch (living world) or a dialogue subpage along with the new dialogue in the camps, just like with the last release, I just didn't have time for it yet. As for putting the dialogue only on the NPCs, I've expressed my opinion on Talk:Escape from Lion's Arch (living world) but the short version is I'm strongly opposed. The way I see it the various living world chapters are a lot akin to personal storyline instances, only bigger and thus requiring even more care and organization. And we don't put the instanced dialogue on the NPCs pages either. If we were to only scatter the dialogue across all the NPCs, it would be a nightmare to reconstruct the bigger picture later down the line; you'd need to know which NPCs were present where and when to begin with, you'd lose the overall context (for instance when several NPCs are often together and the dialogues reflect that, see Marjory and Kasmeer) and it would quickly get very chaotic and unwieldy when the NPCs constantly keep moving and changing their dialogue. Besides, it only makes sense to keep the ambient and interactive dialogues together somewhere when they are in the same place and refer to the same story elements. Yeah, It sounds a little complicated, especially if we want people who weren't around for the first season of the living story to be able to see the kind of scenes playing out, in one go, instead of broken up all over the place. I do see what you mean, with the NPC's sections getting more and more cluttered though :/ For now, I'll add the new ambient dialogue I've found in Lions Arch with this release, to this page, as Konig suggested, then it can be easily moved if it's decided there's a better place for it :) and any new talk to: dialogue with refugees and characters at the camps on Battle for Lion's Arch (living world) page Gwylen (talk) 03:51, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
