Size[edit]

Might be fun noting that he's rather fracking huge for an asura. —Jyavoc 05:13, 31 March 2013 (UTC)

It's Only An Assumption[edit]

It says in the article that Kuda is Kudu's daughter, but in the Trivia section it says that 'based on their similar subject of research, it is assumed,' which is absolutely NO basis for putting in the article as fact. Dozens and dozens of Inquest studied dragon energy alongside Kudu before he was killed - what Inquest worth their salt wouldn't contiue that research? Any of them could have had a daughter, the only grounds for saying that Kuda is Kudu's daughter is the similarity in name. And any star-struck fan of Kudu's could have named their daughter Kuda. ~~ TiffanySmith.8216 (talk) 16:59, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

Yeah, unless someone has a source, I removed that line. Konig (talk) 18:52, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
Can't we say she is Kudu's Daughter? Well the source we have is only her dialog in specimen chamber of Sandswept Isles. But she said "Father would be so proud" and she is working on elder dragons subjects beta, successor of alpha? What do you need more? It's clearly his daughter. If you wait for a dev answer, forgot it. Anet is well known to let things in suspense or only putting subjective hints. You will not have more info, but it's his daughter. I'm more curious of the mother. Kudu seems very egoistic and there isn't a lot of researcher working on those special test specimen hosting several draconic energies apart Kudu. We don't speak about simple researchers here. It's not an assumption, that is the best confirmation you will have. That's an issue with that wiki, when someone find something and consider it enough at a proof someone came after and revert without even the permission because he disagrees. That rule of "No dev said it clearly" or "I have doubt" is very annoying and slow the progress of the wiki imho something has to be done. There should be devs always available to fix point of disagreeing like that. "At some point in the past Kudu had a daughter, Kuda, who also became a member of the Inquest. " I agree with JARVIS and I am against your edit. I swear I will find a dev to re-add that line.--Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 22:54, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
Kudu wasn't the only Inquest working on dragon minions, let alone only male Inquest. While I'd say it's 90% likely or more, like with Malchor being Grenth's father, it's unproven, thus still speculative, and not to be added except as a note noting the unproven implication. Konig (talk) 23:17, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
Ezrielia, just a heads up: J.A.R.V.I.S. is a bot that does maintenance edits, not a user. I think you have edits/editors mixed up. - Doodleplex 23:23, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
It isn't surprising for an asura to agree with a golem though. Konig (talk) 23:24, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
My bad Doodleplex, it just disturb me that a bot appear in edit, I always considered that history was showing only edits by users. So who added the info, Kossage? --Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 07:10, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
Yep, it was a misfire on my part in my excitement to see Kudu's work being continued. While the implications in game are quite clear in this case due to all the hints and how we now have a dev heavily suggesting the same (thanks for your outstanding Inquest work getting Clayton's answer, by the way!), there's still that 1% chance that these clues are a red herring and hence can't be stated on the wiki as fact until we either get an in-game confirmation or a dev statement outside game. My guess is that Clayton wants to keep an air of mystery around this reveal in case the devs intend to follow up on Kuda's unfinished story from Sandswept later on as I imagine they want to save that moment for a proper in-game scene. :) --Kossage (talk) 01:49, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Kudu's Rank[edit]

Considering the dialogue of Agent Spire at the end and the name of the final objective in story, I wonder, is Kudu the leader of Inquest or just of the Crucible? --Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 22:58, 21 January 2020 (UTC)

Just the crucible; he was the head of draconic energy research but not the Inquest, hence why it survived perfectly intact with Kudu's death. Best guess for leader of the Inquest (if there is a singular leader) would be Mini High Inquisitor Maut, Maut is an Inquest asura who is referenced twice, but of unclear status and rank. Answer from a Dev[edit]

I got answers from the very nice Clayton Kisko. He still leave a fog on Kuda, but confirmed what I thought for Ruined Path in sandswept. Here is the answer: https://imgur.com/WRPSSCY / https://twitter.com/ClayKisko/status/1219768303247212545. For Kuda, we can say she continued in the field of research of Kudu but that's it I Guess :/ --Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 07:18, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
