Can new character created Tutorial Instance areas like Fury of the Dead. Defending Shaemoor. and The Great Hunt. be revisited or visited by other charcters? or is it like Pre-Searing Ascalon, once you hit the cutscene you can never ever go back? Rudhraighe 15:22, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

I'm 99.9% sure that tutorials and personal storyline instances can only be visited once in the state you encounter them. Open instances (like your home instance) can be visited in its current state at any time. - Infinite - talk 15:24, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
Not specifically creating characters just to find out, but it has been my experience that they are like GW1's pre-searing. Once you leave, that is it. In theory, you could conceivably get to level 80 just in that area, but it would take forever, as I believe you only get something like 3 experience points for each available kill. 69.183.23.216 03:37, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

Instances are everywhere[edit]

The definition in the article is not strictly correct: all areas in the game in fact are the instances, no matter whether they are created for one player (storyline areas), for a group (dungeons) or for large amount of players (aka persistent areas). Even if the areas didn't behave so initially, since the introduction of the megaserver system and recently with the system of closing the unpopulated maps in 1 hour with Volunteer's Blessing reward (note that "version of the same map" in the description means "instance"), the instanced nature of all areas in the game becomes obvious. However, this fact is not shown in the interface, and players cannot travel to another instance by their own, like it's possible, for example, in outposts in original GW or in SWTOR. --37.190.37.68 10:29, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
