Lol. Because counting the totals at the end gives you an accurate drop-rate ie chart. Erm no >.> ... if you're not counting the number of times you receive leather (independent of the number of leather squares you get) you're skewing the data. This might however illustrate the number of items you may get per 250 though.. Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 12:57, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
And now I look closely at the other data we have, i think the same issue occurs there too. Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 13:01, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

Drop info may not be correct[edit]

I can confirm with a screenshot that you can get 1-3 silk scraps, not just 1-2. After opening 400 bags, I've also never received 3 Thick Leather Sections, so this may be another error if somebody can't confirm they've gotten 3.--Eggman1405 (talk) 06:13, 29 July 2014 (UTC)

I've updated the article per your notes. However, recently I've opened two stacks each of a number of different bags and in at least four cases, I received a particular item that I saw only during the first or last 50 bags, i.e. I went through another 450 bags without the same item showing up again. Perhaps the drop rate is really low for these or perhaps there are several rolls: e.g. roll to see if you get a "shard" then roll again to see which type or e.g. roll to see what type of item you get → if basic, roll again for cloth scraps vs leather section → if cloth, roll to see if 1, 2, or 3 scraps.
tl;dr Keep an eye out as you open more of these bags; it might just be an incredibly unusual drop for various reasons we don't understand (yet). – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:54, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
I'm not sure it's unusual, my rates so far are Silk x1: 18, Silk x2: 18, Silk x3: 21, so the spread is pretty even on this item. For leather I have Thick Leather x1: 23, Thick Leather x2: 26 --Eggman1405 23:42, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
That would be compelling evidence if ANet was consistent about how they do things. Unfortunately, they often aren't. Still, I take your point: it's unlikely that thick leather drops in threes. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 00:36, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
