Where do I get one of these? —Torrenal 22:48, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

Speculation: obtained from a vendor in the individual area. But I honestly have no idea. --Gentlecow 22:51, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
One was in my inventory when I created a character during the stress test on the 21st. 71.81.211.201 22:33, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
Surely there must be a npc who will re-stock this for you if you delete the item/character it's on. --Mooseyfate 15:37, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
My guess: just as in GW you can get the item by typing /bonus (or in this case /hom) in the chat. Helgan Iceglow 07:14, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
Idid not get a portal stone- i have 50 pints, bought collectors ed, have gwamm and nutting... can anyone help?
Same, I got my tites for the HoM, but no portal stone. --192.168.104.30 09:45, 25 August 2012 (UTC)

Scornheart sells HoMPS[edit]

I have noted in the main article that a Karma Merchant in the northwestern part of Lion's Arch named Scornheart sells the HoMPS for free if your character did not create one. I found Karma Merchants elsewhere that do not sell HoMPS so I guess Scornheart is unique for this. Testing needed: if you delete your HoMPS but want one again later, will he still sell one to you? --Triplehammer 19:56, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

Bug Still present[edit]

As of the time and date this comment was written the bug is still present, the workaround of buying one from Scornheart still works 123.211.220.229 08:35, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

I think you can create a new character and put its portal stone into your bank, then delete the new character. Go back to your old character and get the stone from the bank.192.168.104.79 15:28, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
I installed the game yesterday and none of my characters have the item, anyone know how long it takes to get from rata sum to lions arch so I can get my stone, I know my link account works as I have my champion of the gods achievement.Spark-TBa 06:47, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
In the northwest point of the top level of Rata Sum there is an asura gate that takes you directly to Lion's Arch. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 12:46, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Thank you, will head there when I log on. Spark-TBa 18:09, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Another "bug" fixed[edit]

I was using this stone to resurrect by teleporting to the HoM (restored alive and full health), then immediately teleporting back. Now it says "You cannot teleport while in combat", even though there are no foe in the area. This change is apparently to stop folks from exploring otherwise unreachable areas (like falling off the Rata Sum cube) by dying then resurrecting at the same location. Sigh...party poopers...exploring "unreachable" areas is part of the fun for this game. 24.8.249.129 15:27, 5 September 2012 (UTC)

That's called an exploit. You're not supposed to be able to revive yourself for free. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 15:40, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
Though you can still do this easily with a 2nd party member, if they enter an instance, revive you, and then leave the instance, it will boot you back to your persistent world location. This is really easy to do for, say, falling off the Rata Sum cube. -Sahjiarah (talk) 16:14, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

bug?[edit]

I have linked accounts, yet this stone never spawns in my characters inventories. And I had 42/50 in my HoM as well. Gutted :(

This is a known issue as noted here and on the main page, you cm get to the NPC in about 2 mins from anywhere in game by going to the mists from PvP section in hero panel and using the la portal in front of you and running to NPC. I did this myself, just gotta remember the stone is in the second page of what NPC has to sell. Spark-TBa 16:27, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
Personally, I had to log in to my GW1 account with my new email-based login (and download a ton of updates, it'd been a while, and I went and checked the hall on that side while I was there), before any of the rewards would show up. After I did this, the reward pets appeared, the reward itemes were available, the reward titles showed up, and the rest of my characters have generated with the stone. -Weaver 99.130.161.254 10:29, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Starting to sound like the rule rather than the exception. I also had this problem. The worst thing about it is that there's really no mention of the hom in-game, and someone who doesn't realize that this is a bug (like me) will be patiently waiting to be introduced to it or get taken to EotN and then only after getting sick of waiting they come to the wiki to find out how to get there and it turns out they should have had access from the beginning. Instead they have to go to some random out-of-the-way merchant who happens to have a stone in one of his tabs. Anet could have handled this better. 65.87.26.122 18:20, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

Dont have it[edit]

Scornheart's Location To Receive Hall of Monuments Portal Stone[edit]

Scornheart.jpg

You can receive the Hall Of Monuments Portal Stone from the NPC "Scornheart" at Hooligan's Route, in Lion's Arch. He can be located in the North Western Half of the Map. Click the pics below for location. If you're in Divinity's Reach all you need to do is use the Asuran Gate in the very center of the City up top where you would find Queen Jennah. You will see Lions Arch on the gate as you approach it.

To WvW[edit]

I dont know about any one else but i am able to now enter WvW via an overflow server, it just says unknown battleground when you get the list up, the list still correlates to the servers name on a non overflow list, im gonna remove the note about using HoM stone to get out of an overflow so you can enter WvW, i could take a screenie in an overflow if needed to prove this later, but for now im gonna be bold and just edit. Scornheart still sells HoMPS[edit]

Scornheart is still located to the south of the vigil keep and still has available the portal stone. Magua (talk) 07:01, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

"Automatically added to inventory for new characters on accounts with linked game accounts"[edit]

I don't think this line is always true. The first character I created (which got the Heroic Chest upon first login - subsequent logins did not add the stone to my inventory), did not get a Hall of Monuments Portal Stone. Before creating another character, I manually visited Divinity's Reach → Lion's Arch → Sarettokk and obtained the stone that way + used it to access the Hall of Monuments. However, the second character that I created (and third onwards) did get a Hall of Monuments Portal Stone inserted into their inventory.

Perhaps visiting the Hall of Monuments once is a requirement for the automatic stone acquisition? -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 11:39, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
