Guild backpacks[edit]

What's the point of getting guild backpacks from here? They cost the same amount of gold plus an additional 5 commendations. User Kirbman signature.png talk 05:04, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

They're exotic?--Relyk ~ talk > 05:16, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Inventory split up[edit]

I'm not sure how we handle merchants who have multiple tabs, but this one is now split. There's also a new set of Guild Weapons. I'm working on adding the weapons, but should we leave it in a single table or split it up into multiple ones according to the tabs? Thoughts? Vahkris 13:52, 27 March 2013 (UTC)

That works great, thanks! Vahkris 16:47, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
Can we have a "Type" column for the ascended gear, please? Thanks! --Alad 05:28, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
I can't wait these lists automated, although it would require record properties in the infobox to grab the correct vendor.--Relyk ~ talk > 05:50, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
For the record...all the ascended items sold by this particular merchant are accessories. --Felbryn 10:00, 4 May 2013 (UTC)

Quotes[edit]

The norn in Fort Marriner is using sylvari voice and quotes:

  • May the stars guide you.
  • I know your face from my Dream.
  • Seize the moment.
  • More violets, less violence.
  • Seek, and you shall find.

From my spamming of interact, these are the quotes I've seen so far. --BryghtShadow (talk) 02:58, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

Those are all generic quotes from NPCs for Sylvari. I'm not sure how the wiki documents those, but I'm 99% certain that stuff that is common to a class of things gets covered on the generic article. Then again, I don't see these listed at Sylvari, so I'm not sure where they should go. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 17:49, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
The only place I saw this talked about is here: Guild_Wars_2_Wiki_talk:NPC_formatting#Quotes. I don't think anything came of it. Vahkris (talk) 19:27, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
the 2012 consensus seems to have been "eh, whatever." A few folks in early 2014 seemed to have been interested in starting a project to document quotes (as well as other aspects of the non-story NPCs), but doesn't seem to have gotten very far since then. The one thing everyone seems to agree is to document generic things on the generic article, specifically that these quotes would go with sylvari but not on the trader's page — again, because they apply to all sylvari.
@BryghtShadow: if/when you come back to this page, perhaps you'd consider updating sylvari with a new section called, Quotes. I'm sure that would get a new conversation started, if nothing else. Regardless, thanks for taking the time to post the details. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:05, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
I agree, a Quotes section on the race page would arguably be the best place. Vahkris (talk) 18:55, 23 November 2014 (UTC)

Acessories table[edit]

Acessories should display their stat combo in the table so you don't have to visit every page. If anyone knows a nice way to do it, please go ahead. i might try myself later. --147.86.234.2 07:58, 15 July 2016 (UTC)

Done. It was super simple, just set showFacts=true in the header template. In fact it was so simple that I wonder if we were deliberately not showing them... but skimming through the page history, I think what happened is that whoever converted the table to {{vendor table row}} just configured it to match the existing table (and the existing table didn't have stats because nobody could be bothered to type them all in).
Or maybe it's because the table is much longer now. But it's also more useful. -- Dagger (talk) 08:32, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
Woah, that was quick! Thanks! I tried setting that "facts = true", but the preview after that didn't show a table anymore so I didn't want to do it. anyway, looks great now. --Lordtyr (talk) 09:05, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
Seems like you get no preview if you use the "click here to edit this table" link, but you do if you use the section header "edit" links. That probably should be mentioned somewhere obvious (like on the page you get when you click on "click here") -- but there's a ton of other inventory subpages under {{Inventory}} that also suffer the same issue so I'd have to edit them all. Maybe tomorrow... -- Dagger (talk) 09:27, 15 July 2016 (UTC)

Feedback 2021/11/14[edit]

I believe it would be better if Yucel's entry was: 'Lily of the Elon ([[Lounge]}, (Crystal Oasis) rather than: Bay of Elon (Crystal Oasis) . --Separ (talk) 23:42, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

The template gets the location from the NPC Infobox in its respective article. I have updated it so it especifically states "Lily of the Elon" to avoid confusing players trying to find him if they don't have access to the lounge, but it should be pointed out that because of how it's coded, it then refers to "(Bay of Elon)" instead of Crystal Oasis as that's the area the lounge is contained in.
